Recorded greeting....assuming voice mail greeting. VM is switch related vs stored in the phone. You will need to log into VM and choose the option for greeting, then you can overwrite your current greeting

How to record a new greeting

  1. Go to Google Voice.
  2. Click the gear icon at the top right of the Google Voice window and select Settings.
  3. Click the Voicemail & Text tab.
  4. In the 'Voicemail Greeting' section, click Record New Greeting.
  5. Enter the name for the greeting you're going to record and click Continue.
  6. A "Record Greeting" box will appear. Select one of your forwarding phones from the "Phone to ring" drop-down menu.
  7. Click Connect.
  8. Google Voice will call you on the forwarding phone you selected. Pick up the call and record your voicemail greeting when prompted.
  9. Once you've recorded your voicemail greeting, make sure it's selected in the 'Voicemail Greeting' section of your Settings.
  10. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

How do I change the greeting on my uniden phone model dect2080-2

On the base, press and hold [greet].

The system announces, Record greeting. Begin recording after the announcement. The message counter LED displays "- ", and then begins to count down thirty seconds.

When you finish recording, press [greet] again or press [right-arrow]. You will hear a confirmation tone, and your recorded greeting plays back for you.

How do I record a greeting on the Uniden cxa/5698?

With the phone in standby, press [greet]. While the preset message is playing, press and hold [greet] again. You will hear the announcement "Record greeting" and a confirmation tone.
If you already have a greeting recorded, you can delete the current one and then record a new greeting. While the current greeting is playing, press (delete). And then start over with the first.
Start recording your message. You will have thirty seconds, and the message counter will count down.
When you are finished recording your greeting, press [greet], (play/stop) or [set]. You hear a confirmation tone, and then your greeting plays back for you.

It tells me that I cannot re record greeting - it says unable to fix now

what this simply is that your panasonic phone has been over power by power supply what you are to do first of all put off the phone for some time then put it on again after it most has relax it self then apply the below instruction to reprogram the greeting message on your panasonic phone again

Several Panasonic telephones come with a built-in answering machines. You can leave the telephone as is and let your callers hear a message pre-recorded on the device by Panasonic, or you can personalize your phone with your own greeting.


Instructions below.

  1. Press "Getting Rec" on the base unit.
  2. Press "Getting Rec" again within 10 seconds after you hear the pre-recorded message, "To record greeting, press record again."
  3. Lean in so you are within eight inches of the microphone on the unit, and wait for the long beep.
  4. Record a personal greeting lasting up to two minutes after you hear the beep.
  5. Press "Rec Greeting" or "Stop" after you have finished recording your greeting.
  6. Record your greeting again if the base unit displays an "E" and beeps six times in a row.
  7. Press "Greeting Check" to hear the greeting you recorded.

Recording a Personal Greeting
Your answering system comes with a pre-recorded outgoing message or greeting that plays when you receive a
call: “Hello, no one is available to take your call. Please leave a message after the tone.” You can record your own
personal outgoing greeting. Your recorded greeting must be between two seconds and thirty seconds long.
Press /mute. The system announces the number of new and old messages, then starts to play the
messages unless it has no messages.
Press 5 to stop the announcements or message playback. You will hear intermittent beeps indicating that the
system is in the command waiting mode.
Press 8 to start the recording. The system announces, “Record greeting.” Begin recording after the
announcement.

Selecting a Greeting
Once you have recorded a personal greeting, the phone automatically switches to your personal greeting. You can

To keep this greeting: Do nothing..
To switch to the other greeting: Press 6 while the system is playing the current greeting.
Each time you press 6, the system switches between the pre-recorded and the personal greeting. The last
greeting you hear is used as the current greeting.
Deleting Your Personal Greeting
You can delete your personal greeting from the base. You cannot delete the pre-recorded greeting.
Press /mute. The system announces the number of new and old messages, then starts to play the
messages unless it has no messages.
Press 5 to stop the announcements or message playback. You will hear intermittent beeps indicating that the
system is in the command waiting mode.
Press 6. The system plays the current greeting. Switch to your personal greeting if necessary. (See the previous
section to switch the greeting.)
While the personal greeting is playing, press 4.
The system announces “Greeting has been deleted,” and switches back to the pre-recorded greeting.

How do you set up the message for the answering machine? Lost the instructions that came with the unit. I know the phone has a menu, but not sure if this is where I would program the answering machine.

The short version of getting to your greeting is:
Feature 981 or open voicemail key
your password
"8"for admin
"2" for greetings
"1" for record
"1" for primary greeting
"'1" to record your greeting
at the tone record your greeting
"#" to end recording
after you record press 1 to listen 2 to retry or # to accept
press "rls" key when finished
