i registered my handset but im not able to call and answer call from my ... you lose your phone you have to de register allphones and start over.

the phones to be connected have to be the same model and make as the base station or it will not work
go google and type in --- user manual for ( make and model) cordless phone and there should be a pdf version download

The cordless phone pictured appears to be a VTech CS6114
and an Answering Machine System is not part of this phone.

** BUT ** an Answering Machine System is not the same
as "VoiceMail" anyway.

VoiceMail is an option offered by some (not all) telephone
service providers, and each of those who do offer the feature
employ specific procedures unique to themselves.

Check with your Telephone Service Provider to see if you
do have a VoiceMail service activated and how to go about
using it.

Per the CS6114 User Manual, the display indication shown,
"New VoiceMail", will be removed from the cordless phone
handset when you have accessed the providers' VoiceMail
system and played/cleared the messages.

If the alert display persists, it can be cleared from the handset
by the following (tested on my own cs6114 phone):

scroll to "Clr voicemail"
press [select]
display reads "Reset VM Icon?"
press [select]
phone will (chirp)
press [off ] [off ]

Do you need to register a handset? Make sure the battery is fully charged on the handset and remove the handset from the base. With the phone not in use, press and hold the Find Handset button on the base. After about 4 seconds, the In Use light should light up. Now press the # key on the handset that you need to register. It should say Registering and then complete the registration within 60 seconds. This will only work if the base has power and is connected to a working phone line.

Sounds like your touch pad may be going bad. those freq are not ajustiable...

The CS6114 isn't a voicemail system. You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Follow the instructions on page 8 of the manual.

There is no red in use light on the CS6114 Model

If the CS6114 handset says "Not Registered", press and hold down the FIND HANDSET button located in the Base cradle. In about 4 seconds, the IN USE light on the Base will glow red. Now, release the Find Handset button and press the # key on the handset. The handset will display "Registering" and then "Registered".
