Unable to connect to the internet even though I have the correct password

Look in the Network settings.. if it says limited connection, then it isn't connected to the internet, only to the local network. I think just entering the password should get you connected correctly.

Try re-checking your wi-fi password. Log off your connection, Then try again to log-on. Make sure you have the right service, put in info and see if it takes. You may have to try a different service to see if the problem may be their's. If you logged into a different wi-fi recently you may still be logged into that one even though out of their range.

Verify that your router has a good internet connection and that its local IP service (usually through DHCP) is running. Try entering the router's TCP/IP address (e. g., http://169.168.1.1) in your browser's address bar to see if you can get the router's status page.

One of the more common failures in older routers is IP service dropout, particularly if the router overheats because something was stacked on top of it. This will result in client error messages such as the one you describe.

Another possibility is an authentication failure, but that would generally mean somebody messed with the wireless network access password, or there's a bug in the wireless coding (as in some ASUS laptops - this was fixed in a firmware update).

I'm sorry to tell you, but if it is not taking the password, then the password is not correct. Are you sure that you are trying to connect to the right wifi? Are you sure the password given to you is legible and correct? Are you forgetting to make something uppercase?

I would call your internet provider for further assistance.

Call amazon customer service at 866-216-1072 and they can correct this.

To sign in on a Kindle you (1) must be connected to the Internet via WiFi or wireless, and (2) must have an account in good standing with Amazon. If both of these conditions are true and you are still unable to sign in (using a correct password), then your Kindle may be blacklisted.
If your Kindle has been blacklisted then you will need to hack the firmware before you will be able to register the device, but that is beyond the scope of this Answer!

Install the drivers correctly, make certain you have permissions. If you do not input the password codes, then you can't connect until the codes are established.

Maybe virus invade your computer.
You can reset windows password if you do not want to reinstall windows with lose data.
Reset windows password, you can use safe mode, rese disk and so on.And I recommend use reset tool,such as Windows Password Reset Deluxe, for it is convenience and guaranteed

you might have put in the wrong password or user id check to make sure you have put these in correctly first make sure the caps lock is on/off what ever applies to your user and password id that you provided to your ISP
also
make sure your routers settings are correct ie:password user name,firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem first to make sure that you are getting a connection
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online
