Open the larger screw in the bottom where you put the fluid. The wick is in there, feed the new one from the top.

How to center rolex datona wach face

You can do a search on watch repair and learn how to do this yourself and buy the proper tools - however, taking the Rolex to a good watch repair service center or timepiece seller is the better bet. There are alignment indents on the movement and the watch face that can become misaligned. Maybe have the watched fully serviced, it will come back ready for another 10 years of life. For Rolex - f not sending it back to Rolex try this company - very good service. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-repair-service

When I pull the crown out to set the time on my Rolex Air King watch...once it is fully pulled out to the correct position when turning the crown, it is very tight or or difficult to turn the crown to

If the watch is more then a few years on it just needs a cleaning. Any good watchmaker can do that, no need to send it to Rolex. If the watch is new, bring it back to the seller with your warranty card. They should be able to address the problem. .

Rolex Yatchmaster 2 second hand is not moving. Please help

Hi John,

Your Yachtmaster likely has one of three problems:

1) the hand loose on the pinion, or
2) the movement needs to be serviced
3) there is an issue with the button/gear for that function within the movement.

Automatic watches must be serviced every 3-5 years as the oils dry out and dust and debris in combination with the dried oils create excessive wear on the parts within the movement. As one must change oil in a fine automobile, it is the same with a Rolex.

We use the same processes as Rolex and are able to attain discontinued parts Rolex no longer supplies.

My suggestion is to use a Certified Master Horologist for your repair. We can certainly assist you with your repair at a much better price than Rolex. Thanks for the rating!

I dropped my rolex

Its time for a service.
Take it to any Rolex re-seller that offers repair or to any good timepiece service center. If its a vintage piece i would recommend sending it to Rolex, paying the extra cost to receive the watch with full Rolex repair documents and service history. The Rolex web site has information on this. Also this company does a fine job on Rolex repair. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-repair-service

My watch stops 1-2 minutes after setting it. I pull out the knob and the second hand stops. I set the time and push the knob back in. The watch starts to tick as it is supposed to but it stops shortly...

My Rolex simply quit running a year or so ago. Is there anything besides a complete overhaul that I can do to try and get it running again? What should a typical "tuneup" cost?

First, try manually winding it about 50 turns. If that doesn't get it started it may need cleaning if it's a few years old. In addition to the authorized repair centers there are many fine independent watchmakers who can service it for less money. Depending on the problem it could cost $200 to $500 for repair. It's unusual for the watch to just quit unless it's been damaged somehow, that's why I suggest winding it fully first.

How can i find out if my rolex is a fake? i have a rolex daytona.in the back of the watch just has rolex NO8668. just asking becouse can't find any place to repair it in my little town where i live.

Hi, please ignore the above for it has no relation to your question. The Daytona does not have a date window so would not have a magnification window. If your Daytona has anything engraved on the rear of it, its highly likely to be fake, as Rolex did not engrave the rear of their watches. The second hand on your watch should be the small sub dial at the 6 o'clock position, this moves round continuously. The large second hand should also move round the face once the top pusher is pushed, pushing it again will stop it. Pressing the bottom pusher will reset all the needles back to 12, except the 6 o'clock dial, as this is seconds. If you remove the bracelet from the watch, you should have a series of numbers in between the lugs of the watch, where the strap would of been (before you removed it) At the top, (12 o'clock position) it will have the model reference number. For instance ROLEX DESIGN 116509 On the other side, at 6 o'clock, it will have a serial number, for instance F520773. The F number is what dates the watch.. F is 2005. If you wish to email me the numbers on your Rolex, I will check it for you, free of charge. Email is [email protected] If you have opened the watch, you should also have the watches model reference i.e 116509 stamped into the case back. I can arrange repair for this watch, whatever movement it has inside. Website is luxury sauce dot com, you can contact me via the website.

I can not open the back cover of my Rolex Submariner, I hear something rattling inside.

If the watch is working okay, and it is a self-winding model (i.e. it doesnt not have a battery which relatively few Rolexs do) then the noise you probably can hear is the self-winding mechanism.
Rolex backs are very, very difficult to remove and watch repairers have special tools to do so. As a Rolex is an offically certified chronometer, and therefore has an incrediby accurate and complex mechanism, the backs are deliberatly designed to be difficult to remove by just anybody.
