SOURCE: steering wheel controls

In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament (ribbon type connector), the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to follow factory Airbag disarming protocol can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury or death.

SOURCE: 2007 chevy impala LT, horn and cruise control not

most likely the clockspring or ribbon assembly inside the steering wheel has a broken spot in it. if you try to do it yourself be careful with the airbag system

Kenwood KDC-248u installing in my 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. Steering Control Wire

There is no "wire" to use, the factory radio is connected to the canbus (part of the vehicle communications wiring that goes to your computer in the car). You need a converter box that converts it to a signal that your radio can "understand."

2008 Impala , my "Servive battery system charging" came on, then I started to feel my steering wheel lock up.I let the car sit and I turn it back on and I cannot move my steering wheel idk what to do

if you have an electric power steering system, you may find that the battery voltage has fallen too low to make it work . this is from the message that service battery charge system has come on, indicating that the alternator is no longer charging--broken belt , failing battery , faulty alternator , faulty regulator or problem ECM where the regulator can be

2002 impala the audio controls on the steering wheel stopped working

it could be your clockspring; it carries multiple electrical signals to and from the steering wheel (audio controls, horn, airbag). the wheel has to be removed to gain access to it for replacement, but it can be tested without removal. the easiest way to test it is with a diagnostic tool

2007 Impala SS with 30,000 miles mysteriously jumps from cd/aux to radio...

Do you have the steering wheel controls? If so, my guess is the "source"button on the steering wheel control maybe sticking. If I remember, I'll look at my Impala and see if the contol can be disconnected at the steering wheel.

Where is the location of the bcm c1?

Depends on the year, I see your is 2008 but I do not know which year is where. So look on the pass side fuse panel first. Some are mounted behind the fuse panel. Some are mounted behind the radio and some are mounted up under the dash to the left of the radio.

Removal of 2008 Prius steering wheel -

with a small flat screwdriver, remove the 2 by 2 inch black plastic covers behind the steering wheel. one of them has a hole for the cruis control lever.
loosen but dont remove the two torx screws behind these covers.
allow the airbag to fall out into your hands.
carefully raise the two yellow retainers on the airbag wires, then pull the wires away from the airbag module.
then squeeze and pull the black horn wire from the airbag.
to replace the steering wheel, unplug all the wires you see and remove the 19mm nut holding the wheel.
then by hand wiggle the steering wheel toward you.
