Unplug from wall then push power..read online that the problem could just be from stored power..i didn't buy the tv from the store I got it from a friend..when I got it.. it worked great..i have it on a wall mount.. its a Toshiba 32in flat screen..it has hdmi ports
If your TV stays on and and you have sound, but no image then it is 90% chance that the problem is in the back light inverters and 10% it is the T-CON board.
OK, make it 9% to leave 1% for everything else.
Inverter boards are the two boards that sit on the left and right side of the TV, are connected between each other with a strip cable and both are connected straight to the power supply board.
One of them is likely bad.
I'd go replacing both.
it looks there are several different power supply boards for this model, which means there could be different inverters too.
So I do not want to mislead you and send you somewhere without knowing what's in your TV.
Open it up and look up the inverters, then find some alphanumerical tokens on them - preferably on a label, but possibly printed on the board as well.
Then google for that.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Hi! on the remote control there is a "Source" button. It is on the right hand side - second down from the top and second in (actually above the number three button).
If you press this a drop down menu with 9 input options will appear on screen and it is then possible to select the sockets the games machine is plugged into. For example our Wii uses Red Yellow and White plugs fitted into the corresponding sockets on the left hand side of the television near to the on/off switch. To play games it is necessary to select "Side AV". If you are using HDMI leads/sockets then by using the sources button on the remote you will need to select the appropriate HDMI connecting socket; ours has HDMI1 also HDMI2. If the correct one is selected for your games console is selected then it should work; unless of course there is a more sinister fault with your television as suggest already - I hope not.
You could also search the internet for manuals and download the one specifically for your television. Trust his may prove helpful and good luck. Dave
