Both my control keys on my T410 thinkpad are not working. how can i resolve that ?

Call warranty. New machines might need cleaning, or, if the keys are attached with that X springy board whatchamacallit, you might want to slowly remove the key, without breaking the whatchamacallit, and then reattach carefully after removing any obstructions like food, or whatever is clogging the keypad.

IBM ThinkPad T40: the problem is the following Modem HSP56 MR( Intel) doesnot work, Other devices:Nework Controller and unknown device doesn't work

Windows is missing the "device-drivers" for your network adapter and your modem.

On a different computer, access IBM's ThinkPad web-site, and download those device-drivers for your T40. Copy the device-drivers to either a CD-writable or to a USB memory-stick.

Move the media to your T40, and install from that removable media.

Hello,
at the following link you will find the possible drivers for the T40 serie. Look under the section Networking: Wireless.

Make sure to identify which wireless adapter you have in your current system.

Compatible with:
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad R50
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad R50e

  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad R52
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T40
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T40p
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T41
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T41p
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T42
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T42p
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T43
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T43p
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T60
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T60p
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad X40 series (X series media slice or Ultrabase required)
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad X41 series (X series media slice or Ultrabase required)
  • IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T30, X30, X31, R40 series (2366, 2367, 2884, 2885, 2681, 2682, 2683, 2896, 2722, 2723, 2724, 2897, 2672, 2673 - when installed with the optional ThinkPad Slim Drive adapter for the UltraBay 2000 or X series UltraBase or Media Slice)
