When running dryer dryer shut down and PF show up on display..I know this mean power frailer..I have power to the dryer apawn checking when this happens.is their something internal. because it was donated to me.please help..if its a part Ill get,it just keep happening to much have to restart every time.
I would check the power to make sure of the polarity, two hots and a ground. Once that checks out ok and still has a problem, check the power cord connections in the dryer, that green wire goes to chasis ground or terminal N, G, and the solid color wires to the line 1 and line 2. If it still trips on PF, then a wiring diagram and tracing the power failure is needed, perhaps a control transformer but its too early to say now. Diagnose.

Depending on manufacturer and model, PF can mean a number of things. On my stove, PF simply indicates "Power Fail" Yours may, too. You can clear this generally by updating the clock display. To verify that PF does indeed mean power fail for your stove, simply shut off the power for the cicuit than supplies the stove. This can be either circuit breaker or fuses. Turn the power back on after 5 or more seconds and if it displays PF again, you know it means power fail.
Otherwise, please provide the manufacturer and model of you stove for an answer.
Hello, The PF error code means power failure. IF the dryer was running and the power went off that display would show. I am assuming your power didtn go off yet the dryer trought it did, so the things to check is for a good tight connection on the power cord at the back of the dryer, a possible loose connection on the wall outlet where the cord plugs into ,or even a weak circuit breaker.
An "AF" code means there is a low airflow condition and the clothes may not dry properly. To remedy this, check to make sure the lint screen is cleaned off and that there is no blockage in either the vent duct that runs from the dryer to the wall or the vent hood on the exterior of the house.

The code PF indicates that a power failure occurred while the dryer was running. Press pause/cancel to clear the display. Hope this helped and best wishes.
HI, there may have been a power surge that shut this unit down or, the junction box may be shorting the power sector. this will damage the main control in this case. i recommend shutting the power off by, pulling the unit plug from the wall socket or, shut the circuit breaker off. let the unit sit for 5 minutes without any power. this will reset the logic chip.
Power the unit back up after this 5 minute wait to see if the reset worked. if the PF is still present, this will confirm a main control fault. replace the control in this case.
**check the power cord junction point for worn connections.
