Red haze at bottom of screen

Shut down the projector and allow time to cool before the lamp is taken out to be examined for any dis-coloration. If so the lamp needs to be replaced, try to test using a leased lamp to confirm Also check for shift in the alignment of the lamp settings and also the Lamp alignment.

Your other model was more than likely a CRT projector where you coulod manually align the Red/Green/Blue guns. The one you have now is more than likely an LCD projector which can't be readily aligned. Sounds like the panel is failing.

My screen has little dots appearing sometimes red sometimes blues behind the picture i just replaced the lamp bulb as i thought it would cure the problem

the projection tube needs to be adjust for color alignment, each tube (red, green, blue) must be aligned so you there would be no color smear appear on screen. if it is aligned try to set up the color balance, hue etc.

The red and blue projectors aren't aligned with the green projector. It is more sever towards the top of the screen. The green projector also has a curve in it at the top of the screen.

this is called convergence.
the set should normally have a function in the menu to adjust/reset this.
it sound like either the mirror in the tv is warped or the green lamp is out of alignment. if the convergence in the menu doent work then its a service job.

Color shift

Hi there

There is unfortunatelly no section in the Service Manual to explain this sort of procedure.

You'll have to move the LCD panels one by one - millimeter by millimeter.

Projection red is above other colors

Look in your menu for something called "horizontal static convergence" or just "convergence". Adjusting this will align all three tubes electronically. If physical adjustment is needed, then you have to do this manually inside the Tv. keever

Colors out of alignment; curved lines

Marilee, you will need to check on the service manual schematic of what types of voltages you have on the IC's now. Most of the time, there are whats called pico fuses that blow out when the convergence IC's blow out. They are located on the G board, and are yellow in color. They look like small resistors. Check them for continuity after you replace the IC's. By the way, did you use good replacement IC's for the convergence? There are all sorts of aftermarket types and factory rejects being sold out there via the web or from local electronic parts distributors. Make sure they are the original types. If you know how to read a schematic diagram, but do not have the service manual, let me know, leave an e-mail address, and I will be happy to send you some info on the replacement of the ICs as well as the factory service manual. Good Luck!
