Click Select Assembly Then select the section for the parts that you need (frame, gear assembly, engine, etc.). Go to partstree.com and select the brand and model number then select the area you need and it will show you and the part numbers are correct.

Get your exact model number and other information from the unit tag and head over to http://www.mtdparts.com/equipment/mtdparts/parts/machine-types/snow-throwers, or http://www.propartsdirect.net/pages/OemParts?aribrand=BRG#%2fMTD%2fMTD_Snowflite_316-800-205%2fParts%2f0609100-A%2f06091000002 ad locate the proper cable and part number. Then google that(those) part number(s) and see where you can find it locally or online for a decent price. Good luck.

For anyone still hunting for Sno-Trac parts, these snow throwers were made by MTD and they can find parts diagrams for these units but you'll need to call their parts support 1-800 number for support. They helped me with my 318 586 502 1988 8/26 Sno-Trac.

Hello Tal.... when it just stops working, check the belt or belts. Many snow blowers have two belt. Go to searspartsdirect.com

Enter your model number and you will get diagrams of this machine along with parts numbers. Be sure to use a craftsman belt for the repair. Joe
