I have just discovered that if you pause the player and then let it shut off on its own then press pause again later to wake up the unit and again it will pick up where you were. Now, I don't know if it uses any battery life when it's sleeping so will just have to experiment there. But the key here seems to be NOT actually turning it off. Turning it off will reset it to song #1 every single time. Which is really obnoxious.

Benjamin Duncan's answer works for me. You press "and hold" the middle button "play/pause". But hold it until the screen goes off. Then you can turn it off with the on/off switch on the right side. When you want to use it again turn on the device by positioning the switch back to "on", then press the middle button "play/pause" and wala, it should be on the song and song minute where you left off

I've figured out the solution after playing around with my player. Don't bother with the manual, it doesn't even mention the resume function. Connect the player with your computer and go into the music folder. Make sure the track you are trying to play (and resume playback later) is not in a folder inside the music folder. And make sure the file is the only file that is not in another folder. To save the state so that you can resume after you have turned off the player, hold down the play/pause button at the place you want to save the state until the player turns off. Then turn it back on, go to "music" and it should resume where you left off.

Even pausing the Eclipse Fit Clip Plus and resuming it is also not resuming songs from where I left off. Because when I pause and leave it for couple of hrs, it is shutting down and it restarts only when I power it on, and after that story is same that I have to start the songs from first then press + sign to get the one that I was hearing.

Fit Clip the previous version of it resumes the songs where I left off, even after powering it off. May be this also has that feature but we need to set it up. Please let me know how can I do it

Here is a manual for the fit clip. should explain in detail how to use it.

Testimonial: "Thanks but the manual just says to pause and then press play to resume. That does not work when you turn the player off. It resets to the first song and plays it again everytime."

I have read the manual annd the player will not start with last song played. Either the manual is wrong or the player is defective

It seems that this player does not have a resume/ memory functiuon when turned off. It will always start at the first song. I tried "Ranadom All" and it still starts at the first song. In "Random ALl" it will randomly play thee same songs no matter at what point you turn it off. This player does not have memory;/ resume feature and definitely not worth the $30 you pay for it.

When i play videos on my eclipse fit clip plus it says format error i dont know what issue it is pls help

There are many different video formats and some players will only play certain formats. Check which formats the player will play. Then look at the formats that it wont play.
If the player won't play those that it's supposed to, then you will have a problem. If it does play them and not others, then you need to remove those files it won't and get then converted to ones that can play on your player. There is free software available to convert files on a computer. But some might want to charge you for converting common file types.

How to set up an eclipse fit clip plus mp3 8GB and how to download music without using iTunes?

To use it without iTunes, you can just go to any free music download site and download and save music. Then go to your files and drag all of the music you want on your player into teh player, adn into the MUSIC folder. Then eject the player. It should be able to play the mucic. For the free download site I reccomend www.mp3juices.com but that's just me. Hope this works for your music problem!
