Question about Electrical Supplies
It might be that the fuel had particles in it that have blocked the carb jets and/or float needle.There are always loose particles in every tank. Even new ones.
First try to clear the float needle like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pti7XDEcq2k
Try starting. If it will not start check the spark plug to be sure fuel is getting through. If not, clean the carb.

Too simple to believe answer
Predator 8750 Gen had same problem ... ran great new out of the box 3 months ago .. drain after each use .. add fuel and restart about every 3 weeks so no time for gas to gel. Electric starter cranks but gen would not start . Took out spark plug and used a wire brush to clean the tip. Put it back in and fired right up.
Also, for those replacing the plug, be sure to check the gap which could cause failure to start

First drain the fuel bowl. Any old fuel in there will keep it from starting. Fuel stabilizer is not what it's it cracked up to be. I've worked for 6yrs at a rental yard and had no luck with any fuel stabilizer, the fuel still went bad. If after you drain the fuel bowl it still will not start, you will need to clean the carb. Remove the carb and spray carb cleaner through all the accessible passages. If this does not do it, you will need to replace the carb. For long term storage I highly recommend draining all the fuel and filling just the carb with fuel stabilizer to keep gaskets moist. Then drain the carb when you take it out of storage.

At the controller, you need to see if it is actually sending electricity out of the Generator/Alternator, have a look where the leads from the power making unit mates, (Think of it as a motor in reverse) onto the board. There should be an AC Voltage there, then, work back, or out from there, trace the Voltage until it stops, thats the problem... Check the Breaker isn't tripped or faulty too.

fuel, fire, mechanical. Miss one and she won;t run. Are you sure the gas was good? Not some old can laying around that may have turned or become water contaminated? If it was fresh gas, then take off the air cleaner and spray a little wd-40, or ether, or brake cleaner whatever is flammable into the carb throat. Just a 1 second shot is all it should need. Try and start with that. If it starts and then dies quickly, still a fuel problem. maybe a gasket is damaged, or the jet is clogged. When you said you checked for fire, you acutally took the plug out and had it grounded while spinning the motor and saw spark? If you saw a hot spark then you have eliminated fire. Mechanical not likely if it was running well a short time before. If a valve was damaged, it would still run but not too well. My gut feeling is it is related to fuel.

Is fuel actually leaking from the bottom of the bowl, or is leaking out the air filter and running down to the bowl?
If the former, then your bowl bolt's gasket has likely deteriorated. This would allow fuel to run down the bolt itself. Note that some carburetors will have a fuel shutoff solenoid (to the engine, not to the carburetor) that holds the bowl on, rather than a bolt. There will still be a gasket though. Turn fuel off before trying to service.
If fuel is running out from inside the carburetor (through air cleaner, etc), then you have a float / needle that is stuck. This is quite common after a small engine has been in storage and fuel was left in the carburetor. The residue causes the float to stick to the bottom. Turn the fuel off, undo the bolt that holds the bowl on, and carefully remove the carburetor bowl. Use a can of carburetor and choke cleaner to spray out the "gunk" in the bowl, spray off the float, and then reassemble. If it still leaks, then your needle seat will need to be replaced as well.
