Is there a recall on the mitsubishi dlp chip wd-65735 and are they replacing them free

Nope,,,White dots, white snow or sparkling stars on your DLP TV mean only one thing - a worn out DMD chip. The white dot syndrome seems to happen when the DLP TVshave been in use anywhere from two to five years - usually when the warranty has expired
Certain brands seem more vulnerable than others to the white dot syndrome. Samsung and Mitsubishi DLP TVs have been plagued with the problems for several years now. Sony and JVC choose to take the TVs set off the market in response to complaints from disgruntled owners.
If you read the various forums offering solutions, you'll see customers being given quotes of $600 and upwards for solving the white spot syndrome or replacing the DMD DLP chip. Fortunately, there are companies offering the offering the DLP chip for under $230 if you want to fix it.

I do I fix white dots on screen

Hi
Have you tuned the channel frequency tuner? Use the remote to bring up setup menu on TV, scan channel frequencies & save. If it's an old TV that can't pick up digital signals, then you need to get a digital set top box & tune to TV.

White death DLP TV

White dots on your RPTV television are the result of the DLP chip being worn out. You can replace it very easily by buying a new DLP chip for just under $190 and installing the new chip. There is a very good forum over at fixyourDLP that offers tutorials for replacing the DLP.

Bright white spots on mitsubishi wd-73833 I just replaced the lamp and now these bright white spots have started to appear!

This unit uses a DLP (digital light processor) chip and if this starts to fail then you will get spots appearing on the screen. The DLP chip will need to be replaced.

Own a Samsung DLP TV 42 inch and white dots have

The random whit dots you are seeing is more than not the DMD or million little mirrors board. The white spots represent some of the mirrors that are sticking in the on position. In that case they are always reflecting white light from the lamp. I don't concider the DMD board a do it yourself repair since on the older DLP set it requires mechanical alignment as well. The best thing to do is contact a techincian and see what they might charge to repair the TV for you. Please take a few moments to rate my answer...Thanks..
