Can send Fax but not receive error message 0-22 on the fax report

To change fax confirmation
1. Press Setup.
2. Press Print Report, and then Fax Confirmation.
3. Press the right arrow button to select one of the following, and then press OK.

Off - Does not print a fax confirmation report when you send and receive
faxes successfully. This is the default setting.

On Fax Send - Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send.
On Fax Receive - Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you receive.
Send & Receive - Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send and receive.

If you require printed confirmation that your faxes weresuccessfully sent, follow these instructions to enable fax confirmation beforesending any faxes. The default fax confirmation setting is Off. This meansthat a confirmation report is not printed for each fax sent or received. Solution one: Perform a fax line test Perform a fax line test to check whether the fax line is properly connected. Step one: Run a Fax Test

1. Press the Setup button ( ) on the product control panel.
2. Use the Arrow keys ( ) to select Service , select Fax Service , select Run Fax Test , and then press OK . The Fax Test prints.
   • If the report passes, try to resend the fax.
   • If the report fails with the message 'Fail - the phone line is not active,' plug the cable into a working telephone jack, and then try to resend the fax.
   • If the report fails with the message 'Fail - the cord is in the wrong port,' continue to 'Step two: Change the cable to the correct port.'

Step two: Change the cable to the correct port Make sure the telephone cable is inserted in the correct port. Remove the cord for the fax line from the port labeled with a telephone, and then insert it into the correct port. Solution: Check paper size This product only supports paper less than 381 mm (15 in). Use only letter, A4, or legal sized paper for sending faxes. Setting print times for the fax call report
You can set the all-in-one to print a fax call report after any of the following events:
● Every fax error (the factory-set default)
● Send fax error
● Receive fax error
● Every fax
● Send fax only
● Never
NOTE If you select Never, you will have no indication that a fax failed to be transmitted
unless you print a fax activity log.
To set the print times for the fax call report
Use the following steps to set when the fax call report is printed:
1. On the all-in-one control panel, press Menu.
2. Use the < or the > button to select Reports, and then press .
3. Use the < or the > button to select Fax Call report, and then press .
4. Press the > button once to select Print report, and then press .
5. Use the < or the > button to select the option for when you want the fax call reports to be printed.
6. Press to save your selection.

Tip If you choose On Fax Send or Send & Receive, and scan your fax to send from memory, you can include an image of the first page of the fax on the Fax Sent Confirmation report. Press Setup, press 2, and then press 2 again. Select On from the Image on Fax Send Report menu.

1 Press Setup.
2 Press 1, then press 1.
This selects Print Report and then selects Automatic Reports Setup.
3 Press ! to scroll through the following report types:
– Every Error: prints whenever there is any kind of fax error (default).
– Send Error: prints whenever there is a transmission error.
– Receive Error: prints whenever there is a receiving error.
– Every Fax: confirms every time a fax is sent or received.
– Send Only: prints every time a fax is sent.
– Off: does not print fax reports.
Note: If you select Send Only, you will also receive error reports if there is
any kind of error generated.
4 Press OK to select a report

You can configure your HP all-in-one so that it automatically prints error and confirmation reports. If you need printed confirmation each time a fax is sent, follow these instructions before sending any faxes and select Send Only. To set automated report options from the control panel Press Setup. Press 2, and then press 1. This selects Print Report and then selects Fax Report Setup. Press to scroll through the following report types: Every Error: prints whenever there is any kind of fax error (default). Send Error: prints whenever there is a transmission error. Receive Error: prints whenever there is a receiving error. Every Fax: confirms every time a fax is sent or received. Send Only: prints every time a fax is sent indicating whether the fax was successfully sent or not. Off: does not print any error or confirmation reports. Press OK to select the report.

When the last page of your document has been sent successfully, the machine beeps and returns to Standby mode. When something goes wrong while sending your fax, an error message appears on the display. If you receive an error message, press Stop/Clear to clear the message and try to send the document again. You can set your machine to print a confirmation report automatically each time sending a fax is completed. If you get the error message write it down it should always supply an error message if the fax did not go through.
