We use a Sanyo PLV-WF20 at a local historic theater for movies and presentations. Just recently we have had an issue switching input sources on the screen. Typically when you hit input 1 or 2 on the remote, 4 different input style options appear on the screen. For the last week or so it seems to have disappeared. Now when hitting the input button, it just displays input 1, not giving you the option to change input 1's source.

SOURCE: Changing program source without remote

Do a web search for a replacement remote control. If you got the tv without a remote, then I'm guessing you don't have a manual either. Here's a link to a free downloadable manual.

Theatre projector is unable to switch inputs in menu

This is worth a try: Turn everything OFF. Unplug all the inputs from the projector and turn them off too. Next, turn the projector ON and all the input devices ON. Then, one by one plug each input device (already turned ON) into the projector. See if this helps. I have a SONY monitor that supports multiple inputs and a few times this has worked.
Good luck.

Why is my sanyo plv wf20 projector shutting down after I turn it on.

The fan may be out that keeps the bulb cool. The shutdown is to protect the lamp from overheating. Do you have any flashing indicator lights on the projector after turning it on?

The sound goes out randomly when I'm using my ps3 I have a 42 inch sanyo and am connected with the hdmi cable. It's done it since I got the tv

When one thinks of quality home theater projectors, few brands cometo mind. Sony, JVC and Panasonic are some that do. Sanyo, on the otherhand, may not be on one's short list. However, they've been makinghigh-quality, affordable home theater projectors for years. Theirlatest offering, the PLV-Z3000 reviewed here, is no exception.Retailing for $2,999 - though depending on where you shop, that figuremay be much lower - the PLV-Z3000 is among the most affordablefull-featured 1080p projectors in the marketplace today. The PLV-Z3000 is a full-resolution HD projector (1920x1080p) with areported

Sanyo PLV-Z3 Multimedia Projector problem

This could be due to one of the three filters that are easy to change - download the free pdf service manual - not the user manual - it is very descriptive and the filter is about $120 from Sanyo.

PLV-Z2 AV System Menu locked on 1080i

If I understand your description correctly, when comparing it with my Z2, this is a function of the input type. If you have the input set to DVI and ANY digital source connected, the projector selects the mode that it is receiving and does not allow you to modify it. The options on this menu are only available when using an analog input. Try switching to any of the analog inputs and see if the option doesn't re-appear. It seemed strange to me too at first, but it makes sense because the digital input does not require "fine tuning" to convert it from analog to digital because it is already digital and therefore the signal itself skips this conversion step and the menu that goes with it.

Sanyo PLV-55WM1

Hi I read your problem with the Sanyo PLV-55wm1. It sounds to me like a power supply problem. Like most new electronics devices, they use a switched mode power supply (SMPS)to supply the voltages to the rest of the set. Many of them use a current feedback loop to sense a short in the circuits that it powers. I would check for a shorted diode in the high voltage section of the tv. If any one of the components is shorted around the high voltage circuit, The current control line will be zero forcing the regulator to shut down.
