Dometic RM2652 was working fine then stopped - no lights at the control panel above the doors.

Dometic RM2652 was working fine then stopped. No lights at all on fridge panel above doors. Checked plug outlet and it's at 120V, trailer is running fine on both 120V and 12V system. Checked the 5V fuse behind the outside service panel and it WAS BLOWN, so I replaced it. The 3V fuse was fine. However, there is some odd YELLOW powdery caked material around the lower portion of the gas-fired portion of the system AND replacing the 5V fuse DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM -- still no power to the fridge inside; it's not firing on 12V, 120V, or LP.

The yellow powdery material shows you have a leaking cooling unit....as far as the the controls go about 4 inches above the flame on the insulation tube there should be a overheat sensor(2red wires) push the button in the middle and your fridge should turn on again. The heat sensor trips because the ammonia system leaks out and overheats the system. The sensor is there to prevent fire and if your cooling unit is leaking you should not keep running the fridge

Usually there is a short in the system when fuse is blown. Check the cord as sometimes mouse can damage the cord. It is a posibility.
Check power to the electronic board.

SOURCE: operates with gas, does not operate with AC.

Check the heater element for power.

SOURCE: RM2652 Dometic, blows 15A fuse in about 15 seconds

Sounds like you have a short in your heating element for 120VAC. I'd change it.

Dometic refregerator 2652, the inside refer. light and the check light on the front blink when i open the refrigerator door. then stops a bout 20 sec. after closing the door

Sounds like a possible loose connection somewhere that is shaking when the door is opened. Check the main plug/power connection to the refrigerator for corrosion or just looseness. The inside light is controlled by a door switch so you may have a connection problem there also.

Dometic rv refrigerator

I found that they rewired the 12 volt supply, red wire, thru a heat safety switch on the burner unit and it was open instead of being closed and cut off the main 12 volt supply to the control board. I connected a jumper wire around the new switch and the frig works . either the new switch is bad or too close to the heating unit.
