There are two ways of dealing with this:

1. Leave it alone, checking the rinse aid every month.
2. Find the fault.

The fault is likely with either the level detector, which will probably mean a replacement rinse aid dispenser or with the cabling. Try disconnecting the detector cables and seeing if the light turns off (make sure it's the detector cables, not the doser). If the light turns off, the likelihood is that the detector has failed. If not, then the fault will lie elsewhere, possibly with the logic board.

Will a Miele G575 Soap/rinse aid dispenser fit and work in a G664 dishwasher

The Soap/rinse aid dispenser of a Miele G575 is not compatible to be used in a G664 dishwasher. It is important to note that the dispenser is model-specific and not interchangeable between different models of Miele dishwashers. It is recommended to check the manual of your G664 dishwasher or contact Miele customer support to make sure you get the correct dispenser for your appliance.

Accidentally put lysol toilet bowl cleaner in Miele dishwasher rinse aide dispenser. What do I do?

This is a potentially dangerous situation as the chemicals in the toilet bowl cleaner can cause damage to your dishwasher and may be toxic if ingested.
You should immediately stop using the dishwasher and unplug it from the power source to prevent any further damage. Next, you should carefully remove the toilet bowl cleaner from the rinse aid dispenser and dispose of it properly. It is important to handle the cleaner with caution and to wear protective gloves to avoid coming into contact with the chemicals.
Once you have removed the cleaner from the rinse aid dispenser, you should thoroughly rinse out the dispenser with water to remove any remaining residue. You should then refill the dispenser with the appropriate rinse aid as directed in the dishwasher's user manual.
If you are unsure of how to safely remove the toilet bowl cleaner from the rinse aid dispenser or if you are concerned about potential damage to your dishwasher, you may want to consider seeking the assistance of a professional appliance repair service.

My Miele dishwasher rinse aid light stays on all the time and it is full. Doesn't seam to be emptying when washing?

Sounds like a faulty sensor in the rinse aid compartment. You could try putting warm water in to displace the rinse aid. This might help to free up the sensor if it is either stuck or blocked with residue. You might need to do this several times over a few hours before you notice any change. Don't put boiling water in though, this could destroy the seal

'low rinse' stuck on with full rinse aid, can't start wash cycle

Actually, if you look closely at that Low Rinse button or emblem, you will see a little lock symbol above the words "Low Rinse", and I'll bet THAT light is the one that is on. Basically, you have the control lock (or child-lock) turned on. To turn it off, you have to press and hold the Sanitize button for 3 to 5 seconds until that light goes off. Now your dishwasher will work!

The "Rinse Aid" red light

The rinse aid light is just an indicator to let you know the rinse aid is low. You fill it in the container next to where you put the detergent. Just push the yellow button and the lid will pop up. rinse aid is more important on the newer miele dishwashers, as they dont have "active drying" like the older dishwashers did. They depend on the rinse aid to sheet the water off the dishes at the end of the cycle. They are designed this way to reduce energy consumption. If you choose not to use rinse aid, and you dont mind wet dishes at the end of the cycle, either disregard the red light, or fill the rinse aid dispenser with water to trick the machine into thinking it is full.
If you are not going to use the onboard water softener, you can turn it off. Refer to your owners manual, or call miele tech support at 800 843 7231 and they can walk you through the programming to disable the water softener. these are not fault lights, they are simply reminders that you need to fill the containers.

Try more or less detergent. Is rinse aid solution and detergent dispensers working properly? Otherwise, you may have an issue with quality of water.

Where do I put salt into a G665 model

Salt and rinse aid are low if the indicator light is on.

Salt is placed in a compartment in the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher. It has a round approx 10cm diameter screw cap.

Rinse aid goes in under a flap in the inside of the door near the powder dispenser

My Miele dishwasher does not get the plastic refridgerator items dry

Hello Zipmap0202,
I have never found that plastic dries very well in my Miele dishwasher as well.
Check your rinse aid indicator to see if it is on. Next to the soap door there is a door you can add rinse aid to. There is also a dispensing control knob that allows you to turn the amount of rinse aid dispensed up or down. Try changing the setting and see how that works. I have done this and it has not worked well for me. I find opening the door after the cycle is done (Just cracking) it will dry plastic alot better

My dishwasher does not always dry the dishes completely - even though I use the same cascade with each use.

The most important thing to getting the best drying from this energy efficient, water conserving dishwasher is keeping the rinse aid dispenser filled. In my part of the US, I only see a rinse aid called Jet Dry.

The Cascade is the detergent powder and will not help the dishes to get dry.

Note: Even with the rinse aid full, some plastics will still be wet.
