P0303 Flashing Service Engine Light when driving

Car has been shaking a bit lately while idling and while driving. Has gotten slightly worse last couple days and the service engine light came on today while driving down the road. It flashed while I was driving, but when I stopped at a stop light it went off. When I accelerated again it began flashing again. Automatic Transmission 140k miles

I'm running into this issue with a 2008 nissan versa hatchback with a manual trans. I changed spark plugs and coils, check all vacuum lines changed intake manifold plenum gasket, Throttle body gasket, and valve cover gaskets. After it was all changed out no light. Drove 10 miles or so and light came back on. Check the compression. I'm gonna do that tomorrow bexcuse versa's I'm learning are known for this issue. Engine replacement may be the fix

P0303 ignition misfire on cylinder #3.
Possible Causes:

1.Fuel injectors, related wiring, sensors, computer issues
2. Running out of gas, or poor fuel quality
3. Evaporative emissions system (EVAP) concerns: fuel vapors leaking into engine
4. Incorrect Fuel Pressure
5. EGR system concerns: leaking EGR valve or restricted ports
6.Base engine concerns: low compression, valve train problems and timing issues
7. Ignition system concerns including, but not limited to:
Faulty spark plugs
Faulty coil or related wiring
Ignition module or related wiring issues
Ignition related sensor faults or wiring issues

You will have diagnose each element until you find root cause.
And it could be more than one element faulting out.

Mazda tribute 2003 with 106,000 miles enging light flashing the car shakes when idlle and lwoers when driving

If the check engine light is flashing you should probably get it scanned to see which coil(S) need replacing. When the light flashes it means that something is seriously wrong. STOP driving. If you continue to drive it will melt your catalytic converters. I have had customers that get the misfire issues repaired and come back maybe a month or two later with burnt converters. Converters are not cheap either.

2001 ford taurus engine light flashing with car shaking & dying when idles, car stops shaking while in neutral

Don't drive it anymore while the engine light is flashing, can do damage. Find someone with a scanner to scan what the problem is. Even a cheap OBDII scanner will work and narrow down the problem. Will give a code, then we can go from there.

Check engine light keeps blinking and car shaking as the rpm has gone lower

No, you may have got the ignition system wet. The flashing check engine light indicates an ignition misfire. You probably need a tune up including some spark plug cables. It may run better when it dries out, but it will come back again when it get's wet.

My Toyota Avalon 02 is experiencing problems with check engine light flashing when idling at a light and then goes solid when driving. The codes read p0300 Thru p0303. The car idles very rough and shakes...

code p 300 is random misfires
code p 0301,-2,-3,-4,-5,-6,-7,-8 all refer to the cylinder that is misfiring ie p 0303 is no 3cyl misfiring
many people mistakenly believe that a misfire is from the plug, wires distributor when in fact it is more likely to be a problem injector ---dirty tip , low fuel; pressure , blocked tip, injector wiring
using gas conditioner sometimes works but in many cases it dislodges gunk that blocks the tip
At this point I would get a fuel pressure test done to check the pressure regulator , pump and filter condition as everything you describe points to fuel and injectors
AS a point of interest- with ECM controlled engines, the ECM tunes up the engine 60 times a minute to keep it within parameters and the plugs will last the life of the engine
when you want to do a tune up , simply have the fault codes read and fix only what comes up

2002 gmc envoy stalls when turning and slowing down

I am going to assume the check engine light is not on.
I would check the throttle body to see if it needs to be cleaned, and check the idle air control valve to see if it is working. The computer controls idle speed by the amount of air coming into the throttle body.
The ac problem is probably something different such as low freon or a cooling fan problem.

Needs fuse box location and car idles rough

Fuse box is behind the soft panel under your steering wheel. Is your check engine light flashing or on? Would be a misfire causing the rough idle if it is flashing. A possible bad coil. If its just a shake with no check engine light then it could just be a motor mount.

I am having a problem with my 02 Jag X type - the car wants to stall when it is first started and not warmed up yet. The computer says "cruise control not available" and the check engine light is...

Had same problem with mine, the reason is too much cold air entering the engine. Replaced intake gaskets upper and lower problem went away and car drives like a charm
