Most car alarm and stereo installers may be able to help you. I took apart the driver's door lock on one vehicle, removed the tumblers and reassembled it but eventually someone messed with it and I was stuck

hi there
from what it sounds to me is that the alarm is still in anit theft mode
i had this happen to my vehicle

one thing you can try is lock all the doors try and unlock from the passenger side make sure that all the lock come up to the top where they should be
then try it

if that does not work then lift up the rear of the car like it was being towed and it should reset the alarm
short of that you will have to have alarm shop come to you

SOURCE: The clicker will not lock or unlock the front

Hi,
It sounds like your remote needs a new battery.
Your user manual should tell you what type... else, remove the old battery and find an equivalent.
Hope this helps... Good luck.

SOURCE: 1990 lexus ls 400 security system went off now

Okay you may want to check to see if the sensor on door lock cylinder hasn't fallen off from the lock itself. Pull of the door panels and check the wires at the door lock cylinder. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 Lexus

A seized up door lock actuator. You can try freeing it up by spraying a good penetrating oil, my favorite is PB Blaster. If it wont free up you will need to replace it.

Changed my battery in my 2006 dodge Durango, now the factory alarm lights keep flashing. Don't have key fob , just a regular key. Trying to stop the lights from flashing.

Not sure if this will work, but try this:
Open your car from the driverside door, if the alarm starts flashing, go to the passengerside door and use the key to unlock it. That should reset your factory alarm. GL

The factory car alarm on our 2003 Corolla will not let the car start. Tried changing batteries on controller. Tried different controllers. It flashes lights, beeps the horn, sounds alarm at times,...

Okay, lets first try something, go to the car and use the key to lock and then unlock the driver door, this should shut down the alarm, if it doesnt work then try pass/side door lock then unlock with the key, this should start the car, this factory alarm wired through the computers so you may be driving with alarm going you may need to unhook horn wire at front of grill, also this is important!!! are you sure the car battery is good, if the battery is low it would cause this problem, the alarm would go nuts because of low voltage, try jumping it if the key doesnt work, hook cables to it then use the clicker to disarm and try it, let me know what happens i would like to know, good luck and i hope this helps.

I just purchased the vehicle and did a full tune up. Dismantled the alarm set up by the previous owner, but the vehicle has a factory installed alarm as well. It wont let the vehicle start up. The vehicle...

The first thing to do is make sure the battery is fully charged, next is the factory alarm, this alarm is controled by a clicker or can also be turned off by the door lock with the key, now sometimes the switch wears out on the driverside door and will not turn alarm off so try to lock and unlock the passenger door, also the other alarm you removed did you connect the power starter wire after removing. if you look at the steering column after removing covers and lower dash panel you will see wires going to ignition switch, this is where the main wirng for an alarm goes now i think its a yellow wire but you will see the wire cut in half that the way it disables the alarm then they conect to alarm you need to connect the cut wire back together, the two halfs of the wire will be the same color, after that if it doesnt start then we will need to test for power at the starter, have someone hold key in the crank position as if they are starting jeep while they hold key use a testlight to see if you are getting power to the small wire on the back of the starter, if theres power and engine is not spinning then replace the starter, these steps should get this jeep going. one of these is the problem , hope this is helpful, good luck.
