Hello Bruce Hubley, thanks for your post!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire wall oven will not heat up higher than 400 degrees. It may be a problem with your thermostat or control panel. I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting power from your oven for roughly ten minutes. If this does not help correct your issue I would suggest having a professional come out to provide the proper repairs on your oven. Best of luck! -Matt

Frigidaire PLEB30T8CCB Double wall oven - heating to temp, but not maintaining.

Your wiring diagram and parts schematics are here in the link below. Normally the bottom element does glow read hot after a couple of minutes. Broil elements last a lot longer because they aren't used as much. There is only one Control Board. If I was guessing, I would say the temperature sensor is at fault. Elements either work, or they don't, but you can easily test continuity with a meter. Many parts are discontinued.

How do you reset the frigidaire wall oven?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are trying to reset your Frigidaire wall oven, model# FEB27S5A, due to it not heating above 100 degrees. I suggest resetting at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power, you will first need to set the clock. After setting the clock, preheat your oven. If you are still noticing that the temperatures are still not going above 100 degrees, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing it to not reach the desired temperatures. Hope this is helpful.

-Best regards-

Oven only heats to 215 degrees will not get any hotter.

Sounds like the heat sensor is bad. I'm assuming this is an electric oven. On the inside back wall of the oven you will see a metal rod sticking out. Unplug the stove, take off the back cover and you'll see where it's attached. Unscrew the keeper and pull it out through the back. Unplug it from the wiring harness.

Takes an extremely long time to cook in oven, but elements seem to be working

If your oven has a digital timer then it is capable of being calibrated. Usually the oven is pretty close to accurate but can vary sometimes. In your user guide it may explain how to adjust the setting. You need to purchase a thermometer that you can put in your stove. Set it to 300 degrees and time how long it takes to stabilize. It is possible your stove will not get to 300 but to 270 or 280. If this is the case then the thermostat needs calibration. You can find out how to do this out of your guide or in the tech sheet that you should be able to find on line.

Oven runs much hotter than set temperature. Usually 50 degrees hotter than what it is set at, but can go over 100 degrees higher.

Sounds like you need a new oven thermostat or get an oven thermometer and by experimentation draw up a new heating range for the oven dial.

My 30" wall oven oven won't heat up. the clock works and it allows me to put in bake, 350 degrees, but the elements don't heat up. we had a storm and the power flickered on and off several times. is there...

There is a safety thermostat (thermal fuse) on the back wall of the oven that interrupts power from L1 to the Bake and Broil elements. This fails open on an over-temperature or over-current condition. The oven needs to come out of the wall to replace it - best left to a tech unless you are experienced in such things.

I have a frigidaire stove that heats to 50 degrees hotter than the know setting. Can it be adjusted to read correctly?

There is a calibration method to adjust the oven thermostat plus/minus 35 degrees if it is a digital display. The method varies depending on the model range. This calibration method is used to adjust the thermostat if it is not keeping proper tempature. For example if you are setting the oven to 350 and the actual temp it is keeping is 325 then you could use the calibration method to adjust it plus 25 degrees to correct the temp. Just so you know electric ovens will keep a pretty even temp but gas ovens will vary by 40 or more degrees to keep an "average" temp. For example the burner will come on when the oven is 330 degrees and turn off at 370. 330+370 then divide by 2=350. So a oven thermometer may not show you the temp you set it at in a gas oven but does not mean the oven temp is off.

Oven heats up very slowly and does not get very hot

Check your power to the oven at the terminals where the power cord connects.Should be 220 volts. Also check the terminals of the bake element for loose connections or a burnt wire.

Oven not heating up properly

You could very well have an electrical problem. You may not be getting the full 220 volts needed to make the oven function correctly. Call a local appliance technician or electrician for service.
