SOURCE: Fujifilm S1500 broken battery door

Yes, but you would most likely (don't quote me) have to send it back to the manufacture to get it fixed. That means $$$, is there a way for you to tape it on? You really only need the metal piece/plate touching the batteries.

SOURCE: I have Fujifilm Finepix S1000. The battery door does not close

I know this is an old question, but when I had this problem I came across several forums that had the "tape it" or "drill a hole and screw it shut" solutions. Some even gave step by step instructions on taking the camera apart and replacing the battery compartment with one from a camera bought for parts. I even contacted Fujifilm for an estimate. All were either expensive, ineffective or damaging. The solution I came up with was to go to the Camera Exchange and buy a Quick Release plate used for tripods. One that was long enough to cover the battery door. It screws into the tripod mount on the back and holds the door closed. No damage, no hole drilling and it works. Also only cost me $8. Win!

Door of camera is not shutting completely

If the connections are tight and not loose, battery should not drain excessively. Gap in door should not drain batteries. Try gun wrapper over battery to improve connection if battery moves.

How do I replace battery door on Z33WP digital camera

This is quite an expensive part, compared to the price of the camera: http://camerarepairparts.com/fuji-finepix-z33wp-blue-battery-door-cover-unit-15452-p.asp

I'd suggest sending it to Fuji, using insured post. If it gets lost, you claim the insurance and get a new camera.

Red battery light even with new batteries - then shuts down

Your camera can work with 2 AA sized batteries.
Always charge NiMH batteries before using them for the first time, or if they have not been used for a long period.
Always charge sets of batteries together.
Do not use alkaline batteries unless it is absolutely necessary. In most cases, alkaline batteries may have a shorter service life than NiMH. Alkaline battery performance is limited, especially at low temperatures. The use of NiMH batteries is recommended.
AA manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries and NiCd rechargeable batteries cannot be used with this camera.
If you are sure you have good batteries, also check if all contacts are clean and shiny. No oxidation is allowed. To clean contacts never use sharp tools. They can damage the camera forever.
Eventually clean contacts with a cotton swap or a dry cloth.
Also check if no debris is in the battery compartment. Just a little pice of paper can spoil all the (camera) fun.
Just to make sure, try some other batteries, then the ones you are sure of, they are fully charged. Perhaps, next time you are less convinced.

Fujifilm xp30 that won't turn on.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Fuji finepix s1500 water splash damage. my fujifilm finepix s1500 had a slight water splash from a wave on a beach. Now it wont start up/work. It was dried immediately, and i underdstand that salt water...

It might be the salt water has got into its main chip circuit board or may be its blocking the power switch circuit. And there is a chance of the lens motor being stuck by it. You can also try another battery or recharge your battery and try it again. If you have no other choice that throwing it and buying another one then try washing it with normal water, let it dry then try again.

I dropped my Fujifilm s1000fd and the battery door wouldn't stay closed, so I had to tape it down for it to work, now it won't turn on at all, how can I fix it?

It is possible that because you had trouble with the battery door not staying closed the intermittent power from the batteries has blown the fuse inside. Thats just a guess tho but my S1000fd also has a damaged door catch and I drilled a hole through the battery door and glued a nut where the catch used to be on the top of the battery compartment and fastened the door with a screw. Job done.
To fix your power problem would involve finding the fuse, or what ever has failed. Search online for a repair manual - shouldn't cost too much

Battery compartment door is ok but the teeth on the camera are broken. is this repairable?

You would have to replace the inner housing to replace the latches.

Fuji USA might have a fixed rate for this, here is the link to the support page for the S5000: FujiFilm

Battery compartment cover

They really want you to buy a new camera instead!
TAPE it shut!
Otherwise you can sometimes find equipment sold 'as-is' for parts on eBay or other internet sites.
Do a web-search for it.
