Asus Eee 1005HA hangs on boot

This works for my Asus Eee PC
1. Shut down and remove the battery.
2. Press the power button 10 times, next 1 minute pressing down.
3. Remove the memory and at the motherboard you'll see a clrrst (clear reset cmos..)
4. Short these 2 tiny pads by placing a tiny screw driver for 5 seconds, plug the power adapter and turn-on the switch, next wait at least for 3 seconds. Remove the power adapter.
5. Place back the battery and turn-on. You'll see the same screen (Logo of Asus) then patiently wait for at least 10 minutes or more. That's it.Good luck.

My asus 1005hab is frozen on the ASUS screen. Tab takes me to Megatrends but no further

Remove any memory cards you may have fitted and try again. If still the same then I suspect a hard drive (Memory chips) may have failed. Again remove the cover and disconnect the ribbon cable as see if gets past where you are now.

The key 'c' is not working either upper or lower case. ASUS 1005HA netbook.

1. Your contacts in the keyboard are either worn or the trace to the controller board for the letter "c" is not responding.
2. You will have to replace the keypad or send it to Asus for repair.
Contact Asus and ask for technical support.
