I have an RCA Remote that turns on Olevia tv but won't find a signal and neither does the tv remote. I'm on cable.

When I hit source button or input button, it takes me thru composite, s-vga, vga, component, etc. but does not stop on any of them and says no signal. I have a tuner/receiver to run it and other components thru but still no signal. HELP???? The # on my tv instructions is MK0-QS0059G000

Go to Best Buy and buy the DirectTV Universal Remote Control Model RC64 ($20). It will control all the functions on both the Olevia TV and the RCA Satellite box, except the A-B-C-D buttons for the User Guide. It's codes are:

Satellite Box - 00392

Olevia TV - 11610

Enjoy!

SOURCE: my olevia LT23HVX does not power on

If you want to see photos and a description of the disassembly process and commentary on my repair job, soldering in the new caps, etc. I've posted them online for anyone interested in tackling the job themselves. I've never cracked the case on a TV before, but thanks to some of the hints here, and some efficient Googling, I was able to fix my own set with a screwdriver, pliers and a cheap soldering iron, all for less than the price of a pizza.

Easy..your tv is not able to scan cahnnels...then, the solution is to plugging "a thing" that can do that: a converter box.

hmmm seems like the signal board is having issues or the cable your using is not good try having the cables or any type of cable replaced if HDMI or another source make sure the right input source is selected by changing the tv's input source (EG press the input button on the remote or "source" button)

No Signal on the tv

Before fixing this issue turn off the machine completely and make sure from the plug. Ok now take batteries out of milk. You have hit a combination of buttons and your remote this is called a jamremo set and your TV manual probably won't cover it. Although it is a simple fix. Just go out to an electronics store and buy a universal remote and you can simply turn the TV back on with this new remote and click Menu and it works fine.

I need the maual for this rca tv L37wd22yx6 tv just keeps saying unusable signal and i need the maual

What is the signal source for the TV? Make sure that you are on the correct input. Use the Input button on the remote. If you do not have the original remote, you need one that matches that function. (Often a Source or Input button is not available on the low end remotes.) Check that you have the signal set to Antenna or Cable if you are using the coaxial connection and the source is TV. (Menu > Setup > Channel Setup > Signal Type)

If your source is a computer, use the VGA port not the HDMI port. Computers send a different type of video signal than video set top boxes. The L37WD22 can't interpret the PC signal on the HDMI input.

For a set top box on the HDMI port, the unusable signal message indicates a communication issue. Try pressing the Info button on the remote. If you see an additional message of Acquiring Channel, then the set top box isn't responding to the remote. Check that the device is on and set up correctly to communicate with the TV. (For example, if your set top box offers progressive scan, try turning of that feature with the control for the box.)

The L37WD22 was built by TTE for the RCA label. The manual is available on the TTE support page.

The direct link to the User's Manual in English is http://support.ttetech.com/RCATV/Assets/pdfs/L37WD22_16788070_IB_e-07.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Make sure your cable box is on and on a channel that you normally watch so that we know there is video being transmitted to the TV,then useing the remote that came with the TV press the button that is labeled " input" or " source" multiple times until you see a picture back on your TV screen. Says no signal when switched to hdmi when there is one.

Have the same problem with a 532H - but here is what I did to resolve the issue:
1) Click your Menu button on the TV remote.
2) Go to Screen (click the right button)
3) Go to Main Picture Source (click the right button)
4) Select HDMI (click the Menu button when done)

Troubleshooting vcr

Usually one connects a RF [cable tv, Dish tv, antenna ] cable to the INPUT of VCR & a RF cable output to tv (antenna )INPUT .The reason is that if you are watching TV reception (Cable, Dish, etc) and you want to watch VCR tape, just push the tape in and it should start playing picture.
From what I understand that you are trying to say:: [ YOUR NEW TV ! ] you MUST connect to the RCA jacks, CABLE S with RCA plugs that come out of the VCR to the new TV [ INPUT & OUTPUT] jacks .When you ["" use input botton on VCR remote"" ] you are using a DIFFERENT input signal. You are not letting the TV know that you are changing the signal from RF(antenna, Cable, Dish, etc)to the RCA signal ["" I use my input botton on my vcr remote""]

Remote problems

what exactly do you mean by "tried to fix it"? I think that would help us find a solution - nothing you do with a remote for either unit should stop you getting a signal. I suspect all that has happened is that your TV is not on the channel that recieves the cable output, first thing to try is turning both units off by unplugging them from the power supply and leaving them for a couple of minutes, then turn the TV on first, then the cable box - hopefully it will auto select the right channel. If not then you need to pull up the on screen menu to select the input source (should work from the menu button on the TV remote even if you have no input from the cable box) - check the troubleshooting on this link for a more detailed description; http://www.olevia.com/support/troubleshooting_steps.aspx Hopefully this solves the problem, if not then here is the link for the user manual, which has much more detailed troubleshooting; http://olevia.fileburst.com/manuals/323_English_User_Manual.pdf If you need any help with the steps in that then please ask again. If you get no luck still then I would be tempted to suspect either a fault in the cable box itself, or the cable connecting it to the TV or the network. Doesn't sound like this is the problem from what you have described so far - give us more detail please and we can investigate more. Hope this helps :)
