What should i do when my printer says prepare new imaging unit ?

the imaging unit;drum unit has lapse its counter life. you have to replace with new one. however if you wish to use further try to get the model crum chip it will refresh the imaging unit.

The samsung printer indicates as you mentioned when its consumable covers 90% and may goes up to 110% so you have enough time to procure the consumable and use at the end of life (display ***exhausted) There is a chip called CRUM inside the cart. which keeps all data required. The consumable status report of that printer may be printed on scrolling MENU also it may be view under the
software SAMSUNG EASY PRINTER MANAGER on the computer. This software is available at samsung website.

Imaging unit has a cerain page life and printer has finished those pages and is warning u to arrange for the same.

The life of imaging unit end.You will be change the unit or only the drum chip.

Causes :

• The remaining life of the imaging unit is less than 10% of its life.
• The remaining life of the imaging unit is less than 0% of its life.

solution:

• Replace the Imaging unit (Toner). remove the old toner and replace it with a new one, look in the user manual for detailed steps.

This may be obvious, but there's a "scanner lock" on this machine. It ships locked, and you need to unlock it when you receive it. Look up under where the paper comes out when you print, and on the left there's a little green switch. Make sure it's pulled towards you (you can see it also through the glass on the scanner bed).

you have to paste a piece of paper on the sensors that looks like 2 blocks (i used the sticky side of a post it note). that will fool the printer and get rid of the prompt
