Hi Austin.
You could try a couple of things here.
1.Hit volume - and power button then click on wipe data/factory reset then click on yes.

2.Read more: My Nobis tablet won`t get past the startup (Nobis) screen? - It used to start up, I have only had it for 5 days, and now all of a suddenly yesterday it won`t go past that, and I can`t figure out how to do a factory reset that will work. :: Ask Me Fast at https://www.askmefast.com/My_Nobis_tablet_wont_get_past_the_startup_Nobis_screen-qna7953703.html

Hard reset of my hp ipaq 510 i forgot my password

Sometimes you need to reset your iPAQ if, for example, it is not responding to your pressing a button or your tapping the screen. There are two types of resets.
  • Soft Reset - A soft reset stops all running applications, but does not erase any programs or saved data.
  • Factory or Hard Reset - A factory or hard reset clears all user-installed settings, programs, and data, and restores your iPAQ to factory settings.

Performing a Soft ResetPerform a normal or soft reset to stop all running applications, to restart the iPAQ after installing a new application, or if the iPAQ locks up.CAUTION:Make sure to close all running applications before performing a soft reset, since a soft reset erases all unsaved data in such applications.Perform a soft reset using one of these two options.
  • Turn off the iPAQ by holding down the End key.c01118005.jpg1 - End Key
  • Remove the battery of your iPAQ.

Performing a Factory or Hard ResetPerform a factory or hard reset when there is a need to clear all settings, programs, and data from the RAM.CAUTION:Performing a hard reset will return the iPAQ to its default settings and it loses all information (files and settings, among others) that is not recorded in the ROM. Back up all important information or data before performing a hard reset.Follow these steps to perform a hard reset and return your iPAQ to factory settings.
  1. Turn off your iPAQ by holding down the End key.
  2. Then hold down the center of the 4-Way Navigation key and turn on the iPAQ again while continuing to do so.c01118006.jpg1 - 4-Way Navigation Key2 - End Key
  3. A confirmation screen opens asking whether you want to perform a hard reset or not. SelectYes . The iPAQ will reboot with its original factory settings.
NOTE:The applications and data present on your iPAQ before performing the hard reset can be reinstalled by synchronizing your iPAQ with a computer using ActiveSync/WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center).NOTE:If you don't want the iPAQ playing a tune after you turn it on, create a new text document and save the document as StartUp.wav. Replace this new document with the file on your device.

Not a problem it happens just go to hp.com download the bios driver and use it on windows xp it will not work with anyother windows and run it with your ipaq connected to the pc. This will reinstall the complete bios software and bring it back to factory.

Hp pocket pc.Travel companion,turns on,but can't view anything

I don't know how long you've had that unit. So the question is have you done any updates on it since you've had it.

An update most likely will fix most problems.

Follow this link to get to your devices' support page. It would be a good idea to bookmark it and register so they can send you any needed update alerts for your iPaq.

Can't get soft reset screen on Ipaq travel companion rx5915

Hi,
Try This:-
To perform a factory reset and return your HP iPAQ to factory settings:

1. Press and hold the Quick Launch and Rotate Screen buttons.
2. While holding these buttons, use the stylus to lightly press the Reset button on the HP iPAQ until the device restarts.
3. When the HP iPAQ restarts, release all of the buttons, and then remove the stylus from the Reset button. The HP iPAQ restarts and powers on.

IPaq won 't respond to screen calibration.

So far no fixes. It's just been collecting dust. I think it's a screen response issue, and will probably cost more to fix than to replace (at least for me) in my situation. I'm thinking iPhone....

Ipaq h3835 froze

Try a soft reset first to allow programs to terminate, then try to delete programs, if that fails to work give the hard reset another try http://www.fixya.com/support/p389721-hp_ipaq_h3835_pocket_pc HP iPAQ H3835 Pocket PC Troubleshooting, Support, Repair & Service
