Sceptre 42" LCD flat screen. I bought this tv brand new in March 2013. I initially began having problems turning the tv on and off with the remote, until it didn't work any more. The other functions of the remote were fine. The problem worsened and I have to plug and unplug the tv over and over for it to come on. Now it only continues to show a black screen with no sound. The blue light indicates it is getting power. I had the cable guy to check to be certain it wasn't the cable box contributing to the problem, and it was not. I even replaced the cords from the TV that go to my blue ray and to the cable box. Nothing works. I called Sceptre technical support they said they could not help. TVs should not be going out less than 2 years after you purchase them! Has anybody else experienced this?
Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
