What type of GE product is this, model umber doesn't help much.

Is the fan working, If it does could be a roblem with defrost cycle or the defrost heater faulty, causing ice buildup.

I sell many replacement Main PCB controls for these units, Defienetly sounds like your problem. Ecspically if the freezer is still cooling. So that rules out your compressor.

Your model is most likely the Profile Artica style. Most times the defrost heater is burned out behind the rear of the freezer wall. Manually defrost and look at the defrost heater to see if burned out. That model possibly has the glass covered defrost heater and will be easy to spot if burned out because the element is inside a glass tube, If you replace the defrost heater also replace the defrost thermostat, Please send me your model number located near floor of the fresh food compartment door seal and kick plate, Thanks Sea Breeze

Most likely a defrost problem. Are you sure your model is the model posted above your post? RS2630SH If not please let me know the correct model number. I have most of the manuals on the Samsung..............Sea Breeze

Hi Jen, I would suspect the thermostat. The fact that the fan is still coming on and off is because it is more than likely getting frozen or clogged with ice making it stop and in turn cooling stops. Yep I would start with changing the thermostat.
