Why does it say jailbreak is Not suppotted on my device and it won't let me jailbreak it

Jailbreaking is well simply let me put it this way. Jailbreaking is removing the limitations put forth by Apple on stock iOS by exploiting bugs in the kernel to allow root access for thrid party applications from other sources besides AppStore to run your primary source would be cydia. Now in simpler terms jailbreaking is the freedom of control fro you device by allowing you to install third party applications that Apple have banned from their appstore or not necessarily banned but people have not tried submitting.

Now to the actual jailbreak tools, A jailbreak like I said depends on kernel level exploits so with each new iOS version Apples sometimes pathes those exploits and closes the jailbreak for that iOS until a developer comes along and builds a new tool or improves on a previous one for the new iOS, the latest iOS is currently unjailbroken the latest jailbreakable iOS is 8.1.3 I do believe but to find if your iOS is supported browse to the most common jailbreak tools available for jailbreaking and they will tell you if your iOS is supported.

Nothing, if your system doesn't support it, it doesn't support it. It's like Flash on Apple products, other than hacking (jailbreaking) the devices, Flash will not work on iPods, iPhones or iPads. I must presume that if you had the the technical skills and experience to hack into your device, you wouldn't have asked the question, so that option is not for you. Sorry.

This state is called DFU ( Device Firmware Update) mode where you can downgrade and upgrade the device's firmware.
