How is coin trap on maytag Neptune mah6700aww cleaned?

You need to check the drain lines to make sure that they are clear. Don't forget to check the discharge line that it is clear as well. Some units have a filter as well that may need to be cleaned.

cdmcdm5, did you ever figure out the solution to this problem? I currently have same issue. Have checked for obstructions multiple times and also ended up replacing pump. Still have same ND (no drain) code issue.

The ND code means 'No Drain' and it is probably just something caught in the pump. I’ve seen where a coin can get in there and keep the pump from starting.

Some other items known to stop a Neptune pump: Rubber backing from a rug, rubber bands, bobbie pin, lens from a flashlight, tooth pick and a bra wire. Maybe you had something different in your pump? If so, please comment with what you discovered in your pump...

If you have a floor drain you should be able to drop the discharge hose to the floor and let gravity pull the water out so you can take the pump out and get a good look at it.

you need to take the pump pipes off to clear it also look for filters and clear them the only way to get to the pump is from the back,,,

Try these steps:

1.) Take the washer outside. 2.) Loosen the two screws on the back panel and remove the back panel. The pump sits on the left-side of the opening. There's a black water hose with a metal clamp; 3.) squeeze the metal clamp with your fingers until it's loose enough to slide away from the pump. 4.) Separate the hose from pump and the trapped water will pour out and the door will then open; and 5.) clear any blockage from the drain hose and the pump.

I have a Maytag front loader MAH6700AWW. I just pulled the pump lastnight because it had a quarter stuck in it and was making a terrible grinding noise. I was shocked to discover that there is absolutely no filter trap on this machine. If anything gets past the rubber boot, and coins can and do... you need to wish for luck in that you do not wipe out your pump. I was shocked that this machine had not filter trap between the pump impeller and the tub drain. All newer machines have these. The LG and most have a trap door on the front you open to access the trap. Some of the earlier front loaders required that the bottom front panel be removed. No such animal on this Maytag. Probably yours as well.

On my dryer the igniter is rt behind the front panel. Take off the dooe and a few screws and pull it off. If the igniter lights at all it is good. Try also checking the entire discharge vent hose as sometimes it gets clogged way dn line and you might not notice it. Try squeezing it all the way dn.

recheck pump and hoses something may hung in hose then broke loose and clogged pump again..also ck pump impeller it may have come loose from motor shaft
