How do i reset a fuser bizhub 420 photocoping machine

FIRST, if this code comes back. Have a technician look at it DO NOT CONTINUE TO RESET the code!!!! AS this is for the Hot Part called the FUSER. It can catch on fire! And that will ruin a perfectly good day!!!!
1. Turn OFF the main power switch. Inside machine, leave sub-power switch on (Right side of control panel)
2. Turn main power switch ON while pressing the Utility/Counter key.
3. Touch [Trouble Reset].
4. Check to make sure that [OK] is displayed and then it has been reset.
5. After turning off the main power switch, turn it on again more than 10 seconds after and check if the machine starts correctly.

You have not reset the fuser counter in service mode.

did you reset the machine after installing the different fuser a different fuser does not reset the machine requires a manual reset procedure your old one might be ok just got to hot and shut down reset the machine.

Do below once if the code comes back replace the fuser continue reset cause fire ruining a perfectly good day

2. With the Utility/Counter key pressed, turn ON the power switch (SW2).
3. Press [Trouble reset] to release a trouble with [OK] displayed.
4. Turn OFF and ON the power switch (SW2).

I had an older Minolta a couple of years ago. I'll try adapting what worked for it to this machine. Hopefully this will work.

Press the "utility" button. Then hit "admin settings". Enter a password of 12345678. Then hit "user authentication" and put in "off". Hit panel reset from the main menu.

Again, I'm not entirely sure this will work for the 420 but its worth a shot. Good luck!

Power cycle the copier

reconnect again your fusing unit. then before you ON your machine you long press utility/counter then press the small circle black, then press trouble reset.off/on

If you want to clear the fuser message you have to be sure you replaced the fuser web. Then go to 25 => counter clear(items 13)=> Clear fuser counter or 36=>counter clear(items 8)=>Clear fuser counter.
