I have an alba tele in my children's room, we bought it a year ago. We have missed place the remote control ? So now can't press play on the DVD, is there anyway to get a replacement?

Purchase a Logitec Harmony remote. When you set it up, the software asks for the device you intend to control. Enter in your make, and model number. After the remote setup is complete, you should be able to control it.
I would check on the logitec website before you purchase to make sure your device is supported before making the purchase. But they support just about anything under the sun.

moved dvd player tp differnet tv in diferent room and bought new dvd player to couple with LG flat screen

Either it's a bad soldering (it makes contact only when the metal shrinks due to the cold) or the IR diode is dying. Take the remote apart and inspect all the solderings with a magnifying lens - redo all dubious ones.If this doesn't work then replace the IR diode with one taken from another dead remote.
Your player is a low volume, obscure model, no universal remote will have the codes for it. You will need a remote that can learn the command codes from the old one, one like
