How do I scan a document with Canon MG2520? - Canon Ink Cartridge for Pixma MP252

Scanning to the computer is done through the printer menu of the software you loaded to the computer when you installed the printer in the computer. The menu item you want is called "MP Navigator" and it is in printer "Canon Utilities" menu

well scanned documents are best suited with pdf format since a photo scanned would lose its glamour in a word document format and thus looks good in a pdf format but there are still options for you to convert it to a word document through: http://convertonlinefree.com/PDFToWORDEN.aspx

Maybe you should read the user's manual? I've reas cutomer's review at Amazon and looks users have no problem with the scanning feature of this printer. If you don't have the manual, get it from here:

The scan function can be performed by using either IJ Scan or ScanGear software from your PC and it is available from Canon support centre.

Follow this link and download the user manuals and software to set up the scan function.

Try this steps:
1. Load the document in your printer/ copier/scanner
2. On your computer, click on start (the windows logo button)
3. From the pop-up menu, click on Devices and Printers
4. From the window that opens, right-click on the printer/ scanner you loaded the document and click on the options for scan. (Make sure it is checked as the default printer)
5. A dialogue box will pop up options for you to choose and scan your document. It will be saved to a folder in the documents My Scans. Does this help?

You need to install IJ Scan Uitility and operate it from a connected computer. It appears not to have a direct scan button on the unit.

This is usually a Word option.

In Word versions prior to Word 2007:

1.Click the Tools->Options menu item.
2.Select the Print tab.
3.Make sure Include with document/Document Properties is DEselected.
4.Click OK.

In Word 2007:

1.Click the round Office button in the upper-left corner of the window.
2.Click the Word Options button.
3.Click Display.
4.Under Printing Options, uncheck Print Document Properties.
5.Click OK.
