Belkin router signal not showing up for Wii or Laptop.

I have a belkin router setup for a while now and just a few days ago I found that i could not connect. The signal had dissapeared and is now interfearing with my work because i need to use the internet on my laptop. My son said that his Wii was not getting a connection either. The box has its lights on saying that it is connected. I am not really a computer person and i am not sure if i should just buy a new router.
Any help is appreciated.

If no signal, check router config. Use your
internet browser to look at router's settings.
By default the password on most Belkin routers is left blank, and the default IP address is 192.168.2.1 Check all you router's wireless settings in case disabled or incorrect. Make sure the laptop's wifi button has been toggled to OFF. Routers do die - esp the lowend ones. New wireless G router = $20 on sale.

Belkin connected but not showing up on desktopor laptop, but it was just a few days ago. Do I need to reload belkin?

Go into the Device Manager in in the my computer menu and remove the device, then do a cold restart (disconnect power) of the computer and see if it recognizes the device again.

I just purchased a Belkin Router and two nights ago we got a power outage caused by severe weather. Now the router will not connect with my laptop or wii console. What can i do?

You still have a connection with a desktop at home, right? If not you'll need to do the following with your laptop connected by ethernet.
I can give you advice based on my experience,I think it's similar.
Where I live the power goes out a lot in the Summer due to weather. If it's out for very long, the router defaults to factory settings.
Since you just bought your router you still have the default info for setup on Belkin's sight. You need to go back there and set up your internet and network settings again.Right now your router isn't aware that you have a network. You can use the same SSID and security settings and key,you just have to tell the router at Belkin setup. The url to type into your browser is:
http://192.168.2.1
If this helps, would you rate my post please?
Thanks
Bob

All green lights are on but laptop can't connect

With your laptop, you must in any event turn off, DHCP, START>>RUN>>services.msc enter... then scroll down to DHCP, and set to OFF, & Disabled. Check that hasn't somehow been re-enabled. You may just have to note down your settings and re-setup your router again... then using the connect to internet wizard, use that to connect to router, this will re-initialize everything.

Belkin router not giving signal to linksys adapter HELP!!!!!

I dont think belkin has a stable driver for win.7 at this time. I have a belkin n router with a belkin adapter and had no luck.
Some people have had some success using a Vista driver.
You could go to www.bioticaindia.com and download a win 7 driver there. They show a 48% success rate.
