Check the filter and if equipped check the float in the bottom of the washer itself. Some of these circuit board will go bad and still function to some degree, but check the simple things first

Dishwasher lights show "washing, drying, clean" like normal, but when it's finished I open it to find that the DW Detergent Pack never dissolved.

Make sure water is at least 120 degrees F.
As a test run water from the kitchen faucet closest to the dishwasher until it is a hot as it will get, put some in a cup then you can then check the temperature with a thermometer. OR you can just run the dishwasher to see if that helps.

My Frigidaire dishwasher - most buttons don't work and clean and sanitized lights are flashing after cycle completes.

Hello Rich - From what you have described if only some cycles are working, then there seems to be a communication problem coming from the main control panel, I would suggest contacting a professional technician to diagnose the unit.

My Miele dishwasher has water in the bottom of it and won't run

Check the impeller on the pump to make SURE it's turning freely. There could be a piece of debris wedged in there - like glass or a screw from a pot handle. If this is redundant, I apologize.

Ive got a flashing clean light and the dishwasher won't run. Is there a reset button or a common part that causes this problem?

Flashing clean light on a Whirlpool dishwasher is a heater malfunction (sorta) this failure code is generated when the unit does not sense a 5 degree rise in water temperature with in 15 seconds (give or take depending on model) some of the earlier models could show code under certain circumstances such as incoming water to cold.

With control off alternately press high temp scrub and heated dry till all the lights flash on and it will go into a diagnostic mode hit cancel/drain button twice and retry using the dishwasher if the code persists try running Your kitchen sink until water is hot then running the dishwasher if the code comes up again begin inspecting the heater in bottom of wash tub for damage or signs of shorting also pull out from under the counter to inpect wiring to the heater, if these look good test the safety cutoff towards the front bottom of the unit small black and silver button sized componant with two wires to it for continuity.

Still ok remove the thermistor from bottom of pump and clean it and test the ohms according to the tech sheet on the back of the toe panel on front of dishwasher, if this is ok test run the dishwasher with a high temp scrub option selected and test voltage to the heater at the two connectors directly at the heater if there is no voltage and You have properly checked the previous items the control has a bad heater relay and will require replacement.

Top drawer works but bottom drawer shows code u3 and bottom drawer started leaking water before the u3 code showed up

U3 code generally relates to drain pump blocked. This could mean the water is not able to drain out. Leaking of water is not a good sign. Shows the vacuum seal is not working.

Clean the drawer door from inside and make sure the seal lining is sitting properly. Also the filter plate and the motor cavity needs cleaning. You will need to see the user guide on how to do this.

Water collecting at bottom of dishwasher. screens have been cleaned.

is there water sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher or on the floor? If its sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher, most likely the discharge pump isn't working properly and not emptying all the water out. The pump will usually run for an extended time to pump the water out until it finally times out and you're still left with water in there...

Doesnt clean dishes, seems to be no water coming into machine

There should be about 2 inches of water in the bottom of the DW.  If it is filling but not washing the pump may be bad.  That might explain the loud noise (motor bearing).  I assume that the detergent cover is opening but no water is being sprayed to dissolve it.

Dishes are not clean.. on top level the dishes seem to be steamy

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No water
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

2. Not enough water
If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

3. Clogged spay arms
There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

4. Water temperature is too low
To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

5. Not enough soap
If you only fill one part of the soap cup, try adding soap to both parts.

6. Smoky film on dishes and glasses
This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner.

Dishwasher not working

Hi Frazzledmum, Miele have a safety float switch in the bottom of the machine. (The float is a polystyrene disc). If the machine leaks for any reason, then the water sits in the bottom tray raises the float switch & all your dishwasher will do is activate the drain pump and flash those red lights at you. The reason is that somewhere under the machine there is a leak that needs to be investigated & repaired so in this instance I'm affraid that you will have to call a serviceman. Kind regards
