Sound drivers multimedia audio drivers arent functioning

Go into DEVICE MANAGER and check your drivers. If there is any yellow marks next to it it has been lost or possibly corrupted. Right click on the driver and click re install driver.

install audio drivers

They dont actually make a driver above XP. However ive managed to install Win7 on dozens of computers by forcing the XP driver to work, you have to choose the option "have disk" then direct it to wherever your driver is located. Make sure you do a system restore b4 you start.....cheers from Scott any queries get back to me

Use VLC player for your video/audio playback, it has all the codecs needed built in

there are many different models of the thinkcenter PC. Please click on the link & scroll down a bit & look under, Browse products for support & you will see there are many IBM's. Plese provide the model number of you're thinkcenter.

Once you find the correct model number for (desktop or notebook), I will be able to advise download & install instructions. You should be able to find the model number marked somewhere on the PC.
