Question about Samsung DVD-R155
I was finalizing the dvd after i have recoreded on it like u have instructed through the disc manager screen and so on... was loading and then all of a suddent the dvd player made a funny nosie then the words 'system in error' came up and then just froze. now i can turn my player on or off plus i can even get the disc out. what just happened?
I have also had this problem as well, and have also found that when it is preparing the disc to begin with the player will lock up.
I've only found this problem on dual layer DVD-R discs. I've yet to get to the bottom of this issue BUT looking back at the manual there is a section around compatibility and it has the the following statement:
"A 8X speed DVD+RW or greater disc can be played, but
maximum recording speed is 4x."
The discs I am using are 8x which looks like it could be the problem. I am wondering if the discs are having issues with running at the lower speed.
It may be worth checking the speed of the discs that you are using.
