RCA 32V434T (32'') TV has no Red or Green pixels, only Blue

The color problems are caused by cracked/broken solder joints on the circuit that controls the display.  Usually this is located at the back of the tube on a small circuit board. Your description suggests that only the blue signal circuit is intact. I suggest these joints be resoldered for more strength.
It's a possibility that another IC senses this problem (or another one) and then shuts down the system.
Resolder those joints and see what happens.

Try the keys on the set I would think there is a menu key there on the set to help get you out of favorite channels. Universal remotes don't always work as thought should be and usually onthe the devices remote will access all functions. Is our remote dead or busted? Try opening it up look for bad solder on the circuit board clean the switch contacts on the the board it may just fix it

Rca F32649 32"

I had the same problem and eventually found the solution. the tact switches behind the front panel buttons will leak when they get old causing them to activate on their own. your channel up or down button is stuck on. take off the back cover and you will see a small clip in circuit board behind the front panel. take out the board and remove the channel up or down switch and your set should work fine again. the remote will still work fine for changing the channels.

Channel keeps changing

It sounds like a stuck button or switch. What happens when you hit the channel DOWN, does it still keep scrolling down?
Is this with or without the remote?
Have you tried it with the remote and or the TV?

Let me know whether you are changing the channels with the remote or the buttons on the tv and I can try to give you a couple more suggestions.

Channel keeps changing

If you are using the remote to change channels it sounds like either the front of the remote and/or the receiving “eye” on the TV need to be cleaned, OR (more likely) the button on the remote is sticking. It is actually a button that pushes on a membrane under the entire remote panel. This is generally caused by some sticky liquid (like Coke) getting spilled on it. If you are brave enough, you can take the remote apart and clean it with denatured alcohol. Otherwise you need to replace your remote. If possible borrow a universal remote and see if it still happens. If that doesn’t fix it you have a bad IR receiver and/or a serious internal problem.

RCA 32" TV

The most likely problem is a stuck tact switch, if it goes up in channel number, 5, 6, 7, etc. then the channel up button is stuck, if it counts down it`s obviously the ch. down button. Problem is you have to remove the guts of the set to get at the control boards screws, you can try turning on the set and poke around the offending push button with a tooth-pick, if it stops changing channels leave it alone and use your remote from now on to change channels, if you can`t get it to stop the tact switches or the control board module will have to be swapped out, hope this helps

Control Panel

Yes you can replace the chip, BUT, first try to clean the button contacts. I have to do that to my remotes, phones, and RCA TV (yes I have one too) etc.. around my house. Just needs a good cleaning. Don't forget to unplug the TV.
