To Activate the MMS/GPRS you should call your service provider & tell them you Mobile Model & ask them for the GPRS Settings for your Mobile Model. They will provide you those settings for your mobile.

Hello, To activate gprs facility in your mobile phone, you have to contact the service provider of your mobile connect. They will provide you with a link for downloading the gprs activation if your phone is in the general list. And if your phone (made) is not in the list of mobile then they will guide you through a step by step process to activate the gprs manually. Its easy, Good luck!

Hi, to access Internet on your Cherry Cellphone you need to activate GPRS and download GPRS settings for your cellphone. Please contact the Customer Care of your Cellphone Network Carrier to download the GPRS settings or to enter the GPRS settings manually on your Cellphone. After the GPRS settings completion and activation, you can access Internet on your Cellphone.

To open GPRS in your mobile you have to activate it, for activation you have save the GPRS setting. If you don't have the setting , request your service provider for GPRS settings, then they will send you the settings so that you can save it in your mobile. then you have to activate it. after that you can open the gprs and us it for browsing.

But before configuring, you need to get GPRS services activated for your mobile.Earlier this year BSNL has activated GPRS on all prepaid mobiles.So you just need to configure your mobile and go surfing.Postpaid users will need to activate it as there are different plans for postpaid users.However, in case GPRS in not activated by default in your area, you can activate it by sending an SMS as follows,depending on what type of user you are.

BSNL PREPAID:

SMS GPRSPRE to 53733 .It can take 24 hrs to get activated and you will get a confirmation message after activation.

BSNL POSTPAID:



After you decide on the plan SMS GPRS49 or GPRS199 to 53733.It can take 24 hrs to get activated and you will get a confirmation message after activation.

Configuration settings for GPRS access:

After your activation is done you need to configure your mobile to get GPRS data.You have to send a message to 58355 which contains your mobile model.For example-If you have a Nokia 5800 ,SMS "Nokia N5800? to 58355.
Soon you will get WAP,Portal,GPRS and MMS settings from BSNL.Save them all to your mobile.Use either WAP or GPRS as your default access point if your mobile asks for it.

Gangu, you cant activate GPRS. It is done by the service provider. Once they activate the GPRS, they will send to you the settings. If in doubt contact their technical helpline. Contact their helpline to get it activated. Tell them the mobile Make and Model.
