It doesn't have a tape loop, thus no way to hook it up for all sources. Of course you can still use it inline for one of your sources.

How do I turn on the tape monitor on my Onkyo TX-NR901 to use the equalizer I hooked up?

I don't believe you can use the tape monitor (or any recording output) when using the optical inputs.

Hook up kenwood ge-1100

2 stereo rca cables tape out to line in on eq, line out from eq to tape in on receiver. press tape monitor button to use eq, turn off tape monitor for direct. some receivers also have a dedicated I/o for eq, you just need to remove the jumpers and install in that loop (out to in on eq out from eq to in on rcvr}

Bose 901 hookup with Onkyo SR 805 and Onkyo M282 amp and 901 EQ/

The good news. I have a setup similar to what I think you're trying to do and it works great!

The Onkyo M-282 stereo amp for the 901's is the perfect solution. Run it with the Active EQ between the receiver Front L&R Pre-Outputs ** and the 901's amp channels.

**Onkyo SR805 Pre-Out Front >>> Bose EQ Amplifer IN
Bose EQ Amplier OUT >>> Onkyo M-282 IN

Set the Input Level on the back of the Onkyo to MAX. The receiver controls everything just fine after you run through your level setup routine again.

I was looking a the 12v triggers on both units and it looks like you only have a Zone 2 trigger so that wouldn't work for turning on your M-282. I guess you're going to have to turn it on and off the old fashioned way, like I do mine.

Remote Control Not Communicating with TX-DS787

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. Your hook up should have nothing to do with the remote. You should get some functions like on/off, volume control. Thank you, Onkyo, USA

I have a newly purchased Onkyo TX-SR705....I also have a pari of Bose 901s with the dreaded equalizer that used to go through my old Onkyo's "tape Loop"....what/how can I hook it up? Or can...

You can continue to use the tape in/out setup with the new receiver or use the Zone 2 line out to feed into the EQ taking the output of the EQ into a separate amp.

CONNECTING

you can do it passive. no idea with your ampli, but if it does have a bridge then you can hook your eq there, series. if it doesn't have then via tape monitor 2 of your kenwood.

onkyo recvr tape 2 record to - kenwood eq in
onyo recvr tape 2 playback - kenwood eq out

that's all. if you want your eq to be active, then switch your reciever to tape2, all selected input in your reciever will by pass through your eq then back to kenwood. you dont have a function for tape 2 input then but your eq will have an extra input for tape, that you can use for your second tape, it will be active only if your reciever is set to tape 2. i hope you got it right.

post back if you got it done

Cannot hook eq to my receiver

The speakers will not sound right. You dont have two tape monitors on this receiver? You can simply use the tape otput to the EQ input, and then the Tape monitor input to the EQ output leads. Good Luck
