Sony rx100iii electronic viewfinder not working

did you go to the authorised service centre for sony. Cause so many parts cant just go kaput at the same time...

It sounds video processor is not getting voltage from sub power supply section on main board of camcorder that is why you do not get any video output in lcd or viewfinder in any mode.
I'm Sony camcorder tech and can help you if you are handy with electronics stuff repair and can take apart camcorder easily with proper tools.
In my opinion, there would be fuse blow out that provides volts to video signal section. Let me know exact model number of camcorder to proceed and if you feel uncomfortable working on camcorder then local camera repair shop is an option to get it fixed.

Why did you change the main pc board? If the display doesn't work, but viewfinder does, there are usually 3 possible causes- LCD itself, LCD board or LCD cable.
You should give it to Sony and let them find which one of these is bad.

Impossible! the viewfinder on this camea is not electronic. it is optical, impossible to see the pictures you already took. anyways, try pushing disp.

Viewfinder has focus lever at bottom, please adjust viewfinder internal focus as per your eye sight looking on-screen display. Every thing will be fine after that.

Same pb with a HC90.

Sony has a notice on their website relating to a problem with LCD and viewfinders getting blurry or distorted images. Hope this helps out.

The panasonic camcorder does not use the Sony CCD element. If the small viewfinder is showing the camera video, there's nothing wrong with the CCD imager. We have had numerous problems with the switch that controls the activation of the large LCD and the backlight inverter that powers it. When you open the LCD the small viewfinder should power down to conserve battery power. The large LCD should then illuminate, if not, shine a flashlight at the surface of the LCD and notice if the video is present, if so, the backlight or LCD harness is defective. If you turn on the back LCD, the electronic viewfinder will remain on while in a shooting mode. There is no setting on the camera to use only the back LCD monitor while shooting. If you playback images in the Play mode, only the LCD monitor will turn on. However, if you press the Monitor button while in the Play mode, than the back LCD monitor will turn off. The image will display only in the viewfinder LCD.
