Take it to the shop were it was bought and see if they can get it going, if they can not they will have to give you a replacement/ offer a repair or refund

You do understand that you are not on the ematic site, correct?? So demanding here will do nothing.
First, if the unit is defective and you rcently purchased it, take it back to where you bought it and return it.
You also can fill in this form on the ematic site Support Android Tablets at an Economical Value Ematic and hopefully they will contact you to deal with the issue. Their email address is [email protected]. and the support phone number is 1-888-968-1985 M-F, 9-5 Pacific time.
The last resort is that if you paid for the device with a credit card, call the card company and dispute the charge. You can explain that it is defective and they will not assist you with a repair or replacement.
Hope this helps.
Do you still have the documents the tablet came with? if you do recheck and see if you paid for warranty or if it came with a warranty automatically. You didn't say how the screen broke, if it came so or your child broke it. Most warranty covers manufacture defect, so you would also have to check when looking for the warranty what it covers and for how long (make sure it hasn't expire) If you bought the tablet online it might be easier to locate the information, simply go to the site and check your purchase history.
I would try a hard reset. Hold the volume down button when you boot it up, and release it when you see the Android guy. Then use the volume buttons to highlight factory reset, and use the power button to select it. Let it do it's thing, then let it sit, awake, for about 20 minutes so the apps can reinstall themselves. Let me know if that works for you.
