My HP Psc 1410 cannot scan on my laptop but it works on my desktop. I tried to uninstall it from my laptop but reinstalling it crreated some problems like missing scbcsp.dll, sccbase.dll, gpkcsp.dll and enum. How do I completely uninstall the printer and then reinstall it again. My OS is vista home premium sp 1.

A printer scans only when the full feature driver is installed. Unit will print normally with the help of inbult windows print driver. However to scan using the unit, a supporting software is required.

I had the same problem with the 1300 series.
Uninstalling it from Add/Remove programs and then reinstalling it had the same problem. i had to uninstall it from the program directory, delete the program directory then do Add/remove programs and then reinstall it to get the Solution center and HP Director icons.
