My Eglin Chime Clock has stopped Chiming. It is still keeping the correct time. Is there a suggestion on what I can try?

If it's a battery operated clock you might try new batteries, check the speaker wires to make sure they're connected, and or not broken. If neither help, and you've had this clock for a good while then it's probably time for a new movement. If it's a key wind, make sure it's wound completely. If it's a modern clock ( 10 to 20 yrs. old) you might try moving the minute hand( the long one) from the 12 to the 9 counter clockwise, and then back to the 12. You should hear a slight click when going backwards. This will sometimes cause the mechanism to free up if it's jammed. If you've had this clock at least 3-5 yrs. and have not had it cleaned and oiled, it could be that it's lost power either due to sticky, or dry springs, or worn bushings, and scorn pivots. If this be the case it's time to have it serviced by your local clock doc, or one that you trust. You might google clock repair in your area.
