Please call the above number so that one of our customer service agents can troubleshoot the problem with you over the phone. They will have you double check the connections to insure the player is connected properly to the TV. In case you didn't know, you can't connect a DVD player to the DirectTV receiver.

sorry about the caps--the tv is working normal, this has never happened before, i am a dumb woman and dont want to mess around with the hook up (which wasnt touched) i wonder if the remote is the cause
You also have your CAPS LOCK key stuck on on your keyboard. All caps is considered shouting on the Internet. There will be no shouting in here. So, now tell us more about how you are connecting your DirecTV and your Memorex DVD Player ... and what's the history of these things working in the recent past? Can you put back DirecTV and it works????
