When i start Axis and Allies the screen flashes for about 15 seconds and then an error screen comes up that says that "the game tried to turn the resolution to 1024/768 but couldn't so it changed it back to 1024/768" then the game closes.

When I try to play Axis and Allies cd-rom '98 it's like the screen is too small for the game because there is no buttons or anything that allows me to end my turn. My monitor is pretty big too.

I just recently purchased Axis & Allies from Amazon. I installed the game and tried to play it. I get through the first step of the game but as soon as I get to the combat stage it has a fatal error...

Usually when a game cuts off like this the computer or pc's 3d graphics accelerator can't handle the program it's trying to run and will shut it down. Check your operating system info and compare it to the requirements of the software. If it is compatible you should contact their tech support which is usually in the read me file associated with the program for further help

Axis and Allies on Vista, I pulled out my old A & A game that ran on Win 95/98. Installed on Vista Aspire AX 1300. Won't run. Is there a patch?

Yes there is a patch, it can be found here: http://ewarzone.com/aa.html After installing the patch if it still doesn't work, right click on the program and try "Run as Administrator".

Games.

Mike,
Good holidays
This particular problem, need a particular atention, some games show this problem, when the Video Card is not supported, or video driver, is not updated. you should see if your version of drivers, are updated, and Direct X to 9c. according with recomendation on the game programming. (time to change to a good video card) or download any update for this game sometimes should fix problems.
