SOURCE: Motorola Bluetooth HS850 Pairing Mode

This worked great for me... I got the headset in "pairing" mode by following these instructions. Then set my BB Curve 8350i to "discover" bluetooth devices. It discovered the headset and asked for a PIN number... one of the other articles I read said the pin was "0000" so I put that in and - PRESTO - it works

Why wont my unit charge?

If it is steady blue then it is ready to be found by your phone. If you see the headset in your phone remove the pairing and repair again. You should hold the multifunction button after turning on until it goes steady blue if you aren't getting a steady blue light in order to pair it.

My h700 bluetooth will not go into pairing mode

hi sammieyoungj. i'm sorry to hear about your troubles with your headset. Maybe this will help your situation. Ensure the headset is fully charged. Then turn on the bluetooth feature (discoverable mode/set to look for bluetooth devices) on the phone you are planning to pair it with. Next, turn off the headset by closing the microphone boom. After about 8 to 10 seconds or you know the headset is off, press and hold the call button for about 4 to 5 seconds. The headset should activate and show a steady purplish colored light. When the light turns purple, unfold the microphone boom. If the lights stay a steady purple color, then the headset should be in pairing mode and you can revert to your phone to pair them together.
If the light does not stay steady, or turns a blue color, repeat the steps above, making sure no bluetooth devices are around that it may have paired with previously. Hope that helps. Best of luck.

My droid 2 is not recognizing the motorola hs820 bluetooth device; I have no info on how to set the hs820 to pair

I think I can help here:
Make sure your headset and phone are charged before doing anything else. The blue light on your headset will come on when it is charging, and will shut off when fully charged.
To put your headset in pairing mode, make sure it is completely off first (no blinking blue light). Then hold down the Call button for 6-10 seconds until the blue light stays on. (It will likely flash once and shut off, but keep holding until it is all the way on and stays there!)
From there, go into the settings on your Droid 2 and access the bluetooth connections. Do a new scan for your headset if you don't see it listed, pair, and connect!

Need instructions for connecting ear piece to iphone 4

Hi,to complete the look of a tech-savvy, iPhone-using individual, you must have a Bluetooth headset to accompany it. You can pair any Bluetooth headset with an iPhone. The Motorola HS850 is no exception to this. Both Motorola and Apple's Bluetooth set-up process is fast, so you'll be talking with people through your new Bluetooth on your iPhone in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

Charge the Motorola HS850 headset fully before attempting to pair. Usually, it takes two to three hours to charge the headset.

Press and hold the "Call" button (has a phone icon on it) on the headset for six to 10 seconds. The outside LED light will turn on indicating that the phone is in pairing mode.

Choose "Settings" on the iPhone homescreen.

Select "General," then "Bluetooth."

Select to turn Bluetooth on.

Wait for the phone to search for in-range devices.

Select theMotorola HS850 from the list of devices.

Enter the headset passkey to complete the pairing. By default this is "0000."

Have a nice day..

A steady blue light means it's in "pairing mode". Did you try to pair it with your phone during this time?

Motorola H500 Wireless Headset Pairing Problem

If you turned it on and it was steady blue most likely you held the call button too long. The steady blue means it's ready to pair with a phone. Try repairing again and if you still don't hear anything, play with the volume buttons to the top and buttom of the headset the volume may be down. If that doesn't help I don't know what will.
