Possibly voltage too low, faulty unit, no power coming to the unit.

If you have a fuse panel with glass fuses, sometimes there can be corrosion between the fuse and the holder. Another check would be to go direct to the battery from the power cable and see if the same thing happens. Corroded fuse holders and bad crimps can cause this

The sun screen coating is damaged. This usually happens when salt water is allowed to dry on the display face or cleaning chemicals are used. The bezel will need to be replaced. 001-036-750 $115

Only experience will help you, try to turn down gain and up frequency to see differences.

If you reset it and while in the Initial Settings" Menu, you press menu, it should take you to the transducer setup screen. These menus allow for "Transducer Type" to be changed to your exact transducer. See the "Installation Manual", which is different than the "Operators Manual". Section 3 page 9 and 10. You may have to enter your units of measure (Knots vs MPH, etc), and then it will allow you to choose the transducer type. Hope this helps. John Barry, 847-746-0100, technicalmarine.com.

go to the ' menu ' page -- scroll down to ' simulator ' -- and choose simulator OFF.
the unit should work fine after that.
