I have Whirlpool fridge FF450 Elite. Though the fridge cooling is normal, after the night working find in the early morning all magic light flickering though the fridge compressor is working. The freezing compartment frosting is noticed. On switching off and then power on the fridge starts working again normally with no flapping of lights. The frosting deposit remains. This cycle repeats the next morning again,

Seems to me by the frost that the inside fan is not blowing air across the cooling radiator (evaporator), due to ice build up impeding air flow or the fan motor stalls or not working a t all. Defrost timer should also be checked if the air flows thru inside the fridge.

SOURCE: Fridge not cooling compressor works intermitently

If the compressor starts and runs for a few seconds it could be the relay. Or it could be the compressor itself has failed. When a compressor starts and runs for a short period it is possible that the relay contacts are arced together which would have both the start and run winding in the motor engaged at the same time for more than 3 seconds. This would result in the compressor tripping out on the thermal overload. It depends on what type of relay your compressor has. If it is a thermal relay, unplugging the refrigerator for about 15 minutes would allow the relay to cool off and reset.

SOURCE: Whirlpool model ED25TW intermittent freezing

HI. it looks to me like a failing fan motor . it stops sometimes, then you close the door, and it goes. or could be hitting ice. remove the back panel ov the freezer, and check the fan motor

Whirlpool refrigerator not cooling after storm

Assuming that both freezer and refrigerator temperatures have risen and the humming sound that you heard was followed by a sudden click more than likely the start device on the compressor has gone bad. This is a common problem with all Whirlpool refrigerators (KitchenAid is Whirlpools top of the line product and suffers the same problem).

My whirlpool Refrigerator motor keeps running

Keep an eye on the running time and temparture of the refrigerator. It will need time to return to normal cooling temps since the defrost and hot temps inside will take maybe a few more hours to reach normal. If not, get back with me and I will go through a step by step process on eliminations,  If so I will need age of fridge, Make and Models Numbers, Thanks Sea Breeze
