there is a very good chance its shot but, first check the fuses (on the amp) to make sure they are not blown and make sure it is grounded to clean metal.
THE ABOVE LINK WILL ALLOW YOU TO DOWNLOAD THE .PDF MANUAL FOR THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE AMPLIFIER WHICH IS THE BXI1610D WHICH IS STABLE DOWN TO 1 OHM WHICH PRODUCES 1600 WATTS. YOU CAN ALSO CALL TO VERIFY THE MINIMUM IMPEDANCE OF YOUR AMPLIFIER BY CALLING MAXXONICS AT 847-540-7700......V
That's dependent on your subwoofers. You will need 2 dual 4 ohm subs wired in Parallel, a single dual 2 ohm subwoofer wired in parallel, a single dual .5 ohm wired in series. Or something similar.
Well i sounds like your amp is shot. Or you have the subs wired incorrectly to the amp. Each amp is different in stability with ohm loads and each amp performs differently at each load. Sounds like it was wired at the wrong ohm load in the past or it came defective from factory. Definately send it back if u just got it.
take the positive on the sub and run a wire to the other positive the run a negative to the other negative then to your pos and neg on the box do the same on the other side then tie your two positives and two neg together and you got 1ohm and that amp willl handle it all day
it may be a wiring problem you need to make sure all the speaker positives and negatives are correct. I sell alot of hifonics amps and have never had 1 do that. it may also be a bad rca cable. if it only does it when you use the filter i would say not to use it also make sure the gain is no more than 3/4 turned up and the bass boost no more than 1/2. if you have a dif amp try a temp setup using it and if it still does it its a wiring issue. also try 1 speaker at a time on the hifonics and keep adding 1 till it comes back it may be a bad voice coil on 1 sub .
make sure you have a 40 amp fuse in it
im going to try to describe this to you
