How to reset Proscan PLT722 when you forgot your password or unlock pattern. How to remove unlock pattern on your Proscan PLT722 android tablet
To reset this tablet is a little bit tricky, because there are no physical Volume keys on the device, but we have a "hidden" RESET hole (on the side of the tablet) and using this we can easily do a factory reset on the tablet to remove the password and get access to it.

Using the Hard Reset (Factory Reset)
If you want to restore your Proscan Android tablet to its original condition, use a Hard Reset (Factory Reset) to initialize it.

1. Turn the power off.
2. Find the tiniest RESET hole on the side of the tablet next to the micro USB charger port and use a paper clip or similar tool to click it, press gently the RESET button in the hole. While you are pressing the reset button press and hold the Power button also until the Proscan logo comes up and the Android robot is displaying on the screen. (Note this is not the RESET hole on the back of the device.)
3. Release the Power and the reset button.
4. To get into the Android recovery menu you have to click it push it down again the tiny little RESET button in the hole and the POWER button together. Keep pushing the two buttons until the recovery menu displayed.
5. To highlight the options use the paper clip and press the RESET button to move down the highlighter bar until you get to Wipe data / Factory Reset. Press the POWER key to get in the next menu.
6. Move the bar again using the reset button and highlight Yes -- delete all data and press the POWER button.
WARNING
If you perform a Hard Reset, all user applications, user data and DRM licenses will be deleted. Please remember to backup any important data before performing a Hard Reset.
Proscan PLT722 soft reset or restart the device when it is frozen If device is hanging, use a small pin or paper clip to press Reset hole on the back of the device, it will forced shut down and the device will power on again.
Proscan PLT722 factory reset from the menu Factory data reset - Reset your settings to the factory default values and delete all your data. If you reset the tablet this way, you are prompted to re-enter the same information as when you first started your Android tablet.

Go to Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset Tablet and confirm
All data will be deleted!
Check the software version on your tablet: Settings > About tablet> System updates > Check now.

NOTE: Your personal data from internal phone storage - including information about your Google account and any other accounts, your system/application data and settings, any downloaded applications and your DRM licence - might be lost in the process of updating your phone's software. Therefore, it is always recommended to backup your personal data before updating your phone's software.

How to reset to factory settings on Tesco connect tablet

Your tablet runs Window 8.1, I believe. Provided it boots up, it's pretty easy to reset it to factory specs.

1) Slide out the Charms

2) Click on the Settings Charms icon

3) Click on PC Settings

4) Click on Update and Recovery

5) Click on Recovery.

6) Choose one of the three options.

If it's not booting up, I don't know what to do other than try how Androids do it by. Pushing and holding the power button and the volume(-) buttons at the same time until a reset screen comes up.

I have locked myself out of my tablet

You will need to do a factory reset:

1) Make sure the tablet is powered down.
2) Press and hold VOLUME UP(+) and DOWN(-) buttons, plus POWER button all at the same time.
3) Insert a metal pin in the RESET hole at the back of the tablet, then push and hold it for 2 seconds, while still holding the VOLUME and POWER buttons. Make sure the pin is pushed. It seems like nothing happened, but just keep on going to the next step.
4) Power ON the tablet and immediately, PRESS and RELEASE continuously the VOLUME UP(+) button in order to get the display as showing dead tablet (dead robot).
5) This is the critical part. Make sure you do the right sequence or you will start again from the beginning. Press and hold the POWER button, then press and release VOLUME UP(+), and the display will give you a screen showing different options.
6) Choose the option wipe data/factory reset, by clicking POWER button to scroll down. To execute the selected option, press VOLUME UP(+) button. The tablet will reboot back to its factory setting.

Forgot my passcode symbol on my tablet an need to reset it please

This works with devices having physical home button

1.
Press the power button and the home button together for a while, long enough until the screen appears with Android bot and a progress bar which shows that it's formatting the internal memory. With NO physical HOME button:-

2. In case your device does not have a physical home button, press the power button and both the volume keys together for few seconds.

3. Press gently the "reset pin-hole" present generally on a side of Tablet. Use a clip-pin or similarly fine thing to gently push inside to reset your device to factory settings.

Can i restore my Polaroid tablet to the factory setting without messing up my iphone and laptop files?

Yes. Some of the older models have a reset button, you have to push with a safety pin. The others have the reset feature in the settings. You can choose to leave the mini memory card in the tablet to clear it or remove it before reset to save the non factory stored apps on it.
